Title: Social Butterfly

Note: I'm afraid I won't be doing any more fics with my Hero Enya Thoren, because the save file on my game, which contained the Enya hero, was corrupted and lost forever :[
However, I've grown attached to my latest playthrough hero, Ruben Vanya, a giant red dreadlocked man with the social skills of a golden retriever puppy.

tl;dr No more Enya Fics, instead, here's Ruben Vanya.

Disclaimer: I don't own Fable 3.

If there was one thing Ruben Vanya excelled at, it was getting people to adore him. Standing at six foot nine, with crimson dreadlocked hair beyond his broad shoulders, and with long, musclar limbs, he made quite an intimidating figure.

Add in his legendary skills in combat, his royal linage, and his everpresent companion is a large, fierce Wolfhound, and you'd think that citizens would tremble at his very prescence.

In reality, you could not have been farther from the truth. Ruben was friends with everyone.
Absolutely everyone..

From the lowliest beggar, to the most noble of nobles, from the poorest stall vendor, to the most distinguished pawnbroker, Ruben Vanya took the time to learn their names, and befriend them all. Every child knew him by name, every beggar sang his praises, and every soldier would be proud to fight at his side.

The funny thing was, Ruben had only escaped the Castle one month prior, and already he was adored by the masses.
Maybe it was his carefree grin, and the way he'd laugh off any insult.
Perhaps it was how he always brought back each of the village children a gift, from his travels.
Or maybe it was how he would always go out of his way to help someone.

Whatever it was, Ruben was a very popular man. It was hard as hell not to like him, and he had only just began his journey. [He wasn't even the Hero of Brightwall yet!]

Back in Bowerstone Castle, The King himself seems to miss his little brother's prescence. His most trusted advisers noticed how his eyes would stray to his brother's seat, and many of the castle's servants noticed Logan visiting Ruben's favored spots within and around the Castle.

Jasper, Ruben's butler and one of his most trusted friends, would happily tell you the secret behind Ruben's undeniable charisma.
"Ruben is just like his father. The old King had a way with people, after all, even Reaver sang his praises of him."

Even Sabine, the leader of the Dweller tribe, after just one brief meeting, grudgingly admitted that the lad had a sort of magnetic vibe to him.

And what did Ruben think, of his friendly reputation?
Contrary to the local cynics and conspiracy theorists, Ruben was not secretly developing a network of admirers and followers in order to help his campaign against Logan.

The truth came by way of the man himself.

"Hmm? Why do I befriend everyone I meet?" Ruben blinked, and scratched his chin.
"Well, it ain't obvious? I like people. Everyone at least needs one friend to get through life. I woulda never made it this far if I hadn't of had Jasper, Walter, and Elliot. S'just my way, yanno?" Ruben grins, and tips his hat, before wandering away.

Well, there you have it.
He's a human Golden Retriever.
