One Kick Ass Angel

Pt. 1

Everything had been going so well. Dean looked back to only five minutes ago when he and Sammy had parked the Impala on the side of the road to watch the beautiful falling snow. They had sat like that for at least an hour before he opened his eyes to not only see his brother gone, but also unfamiliar surroundings.

He still had no idea where he was. All he knew was that Raphael was holding him up by his shirt collar, and he was teetering over the edge. He gulped as he looked down the mountain in sheer panic.

Pt. 2

From looking down, which Dean tried desperately not to do, he could see nothing but an excessive amount of snow and a never-ending bleakness. There was no doubt about it, when he was dropped by Raphael he would die. And Sam would have no body left to bury. He closed his eyes and called out to Castiel before he was lost forever.

He felt himself falling, but not for long because warm wings were soon wrapped around his shivering body. Castiel never let go and Dean briefly wondered what would happen to Raphael. His angel would have to do something.

Pt. 3

Dean wondered how Cas had found him. But soon their bodies were swallowed up in a flash of burning light. Arms replaced wings as his angel continued to hold him, finally flying away from his near death experience. He got his voice back quickly.

"A grenade, Cas? Really?"

There was no response as Dean was taken further away. Raphael had to be toast after what was done to him.

"Where are we anyway?"

The angel looked down at his charge.

"We are in Alaska."

"So Raphael? He's dead now right?"

"Yes Dean. He will never put you in danger again."

Pt. 4

Dean smiled a little at how relieved Cas looked at his own words.

And a half hour later he was back down on the ground with Sam, who ran into him and nearly suffocated him. But he didn't mind cause being back with Sammy was the best thing in the world. Although his own guardian angel saving him and blowing up another angel came close.

"Thanks Cas. You're one kick ass angel."

Castiel smiled and flew away.

He was no longer at the tip of the mountain. He owed Cas for that. And he would repay him soon. Someday. Somehow.
