Hello there! People who read my HTWAG, thanks for voting for this one. I actually had more ideas for this. Hopefully you will like it.

For those of you who haven't read HTWAG, I encourage you to; it got a lot of good reviews. The full title was How To Win A Guy In 10 Easy Steps. This, that you are currently reading, is the prequel, set in the middle of Tenten's use of The List.

I own nothing.

Tenten sighed as she looked at the list Ino and Sakura had given her. She had done a few steps (give chocolate and ignore him) neither of which had worked very well. Ino and Sakura had wanted to help her (probably so they could relieve boredom as well as make sure she did the list in order) but Tenten flat-out refused. She would do this with only herself and the list.

She looked at step ten (which was actually step one, Tenten had no idea why the two girls had decided to number them backwards; in order of effectiveness maybe?) and considered. If she was creative with this she might be able to get his attention… But what would show how she felt?

Tenten shuffled through her memory of conversations with the Hyuuga, trying to find anything that would be significant; something that his mother had, perhaps, or his father. Or something that had significance of any kind would be good, really. Suddenly, a memory of a shopping trip made her pause. It had happened when she was at the mall with Neji and Lee.

"Let us go be youthful and get some ice cream!" Lee shouted, fist in the air.

"Lee, I swear to bob if you say youth one more time, I'll slap you," Tenten sighed, looking to her side where she had assumed Neji still was. When she didn't see him she turned around she saw him standing at one of the stands looking at something small, something that looked breakable. "You go ahead, Lee, we'll meet you there."

The green-clad ninja trotted off as Tenten approached Neji. In his had was a small glass figure. A dove, wings spread wide.

"They represent love," Neji said. "Someone told me that once, but I'm not sure who."

Tenten rushed off to the mall, hoping that they had some left.

O.o.O.o.O

"Neji!" Tenten called, running to catch up with the dark haired boy; he was in his training clothes, so he must have been on his way home. "Neji, here," She said, simply handing him the gift. After he opened it, a small half smile came to his face.

"Follow me," he said.

Tenten followed him to the Hyuuga compound and waited as Neji changed and brought out a small parcel. "I was saving this for your birthday, but…" he handed her the package to open.

When she opened it she found a glass dove, wings spread wide.

You like? I hope… it only took about half an hour to write… not long at all.

Anyways, thanks for reading! Please, oh please review!
