Boy did Dipper have news to tell everyone.

"Yes Mabel, it's important, now, you call my friends while I call our relatives" Dipper said into his phone as he rocked his newborn baby girl in his arms, "why do you have to call my friends? Mabel, seriously, this is important, I don't care if one of them is your ex, I need to tell people about this and you're the fastest caller I know."

Dipper finally heard Mabel agree and he hung up.

"Bill?" Dipper called out.

"Yes Pine Tree?" Bill grinned, appearing out of nowhere.

"Hurry up and hold Mirage, I need to make these calls" Dipper handed their daughter to Bill.

"You're really excited, aren't you?" Bill laughed, "it's just a piece of metal."

"It's a human thing" Dipper muttered, furiously typing some numbers into his phone and calling his parents.

The next day, literally everyone they knew arrived on the doorstep of the Mystery Shack.

Think you might have gone a little overboard? Bill asked in Dipper's mind.

Of course not, Dipper thought back, this is a big deal, plus it's not like they had to drive far, my parents moved closer to Gravity Falls, remember? And my friends were visiting for the weekend.

Fine, but permission to turn this into something interesting at least? Bill asked hopefully.

Don't hurt anyone.

Bill took that as a yes and happily greeted the crowd at the door in his human form.

"Dipper made a big deal over nothing, but since you're all here we might as well tell you" Bill grinned.

Dipper scowled at Bill, "I was not making a big deal over nothing."

"Whatever you say" Bill shrugged, "go on, tell them."

Dipper took a breath before grinning and holding out his hand, showing the ring, "we're engaged-"

Bill cut him off at the end and quickly added "in combat" as he held up a sword identical to the one Dipper had suddenly found himself holding.

Dipper sighed and facepalmed while everyone else in the room found themselves holding their own swords and Bill was suddenly wearing armour.
