Author Note: Alright this is my second storyline for "Body of Proof". Thank you all for the support from "Believe in us". I hope that you like this one too. This one is for her boss, Kate and Sergei.
Kate was sitting in a bar thinking about how her life is now. She just wanted to be alone for a while since her recent break up with this guy that saved the little baby. She did not know that he was watching her. She gets up and heads to the bathroom when he spots her.
"What's going on?" Sergei said to her.
"I have looked for you." She says to him.
"Why?" he asks her.
"because I want to tell you that I don't want to be with you. I know that you were hurt by my actions but I thought that you killed that girl with her child." Kate responds to him.
"You did what you thought was right and if I were in your shoes then I would do it too." Sergei assures her. "let's give some time to cool off before trying again."
"I don't know about that." She tells him as they head to her car. "I have work in the morning." Kate got into her car and drove home.
The next morning, Kate was walking into her office to find Megan sitting there.
"Hey, what's going on?" Megan asked her boss.
"Nothing." Kate lied.
"Really?" Megan responded not believing her.
"Alright, I saw Sergei at the bar that I went to last night." she reveal to her.
"Maybe it's time that you give a second chance like I did with Tommy." Megan revealed to her boss.
"Wait a minute you guys are back together?" She questions
"yes but that is besides the point." Megan defends. "You and Sergei are a great team together on how he makes you smile."
"How come you were not like this when I was dating your ex-husband?" Kate asks her co-worker.
"I don't know why. But don't be stubborn with this guy."
"I will think about it. Go to work." She tells her.
