Sonic X:The Next Adventure Episode 1 - Chapter 1
Please Note: this is my first fan fiction, so don't be so judgemental if it's not as well written as it is meant to be. This fiction is my idea of how the TV show, Sonic X, should continue, and how to improve it with the addition of the beloved characters from Sonic Satam.

The ship sped calmly, yet lightning fast through the silent regions of space. On board the ship, were the heroes of Mobius; Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prowler, Amy Rose, Knuckles the Echidna, Rouge the Bat, Team Chaotix: Vector Croc, Charmy Bee, and Espio Chameleon and finally, Cream Rabbit and her Chao friend, Cheese.
On the ships deck, Sonic and Amy were laid back and gazing up at the sea of infinite stars.
"Oh Sonic," said Amy dreamily, "aren't the stars just beautiful?"
"Yeah, I guess," said Sonic with a bored yawn.
"It's so romantic," continued Amy, as she slowly began to lean closer to Sonic. "Don't they just make you want to... kiss?"
Hearing this, Sonic's face instantly changed from boredom to panic. He now knew what Amy was about to do, and he didn't want her to go any further. In a flash, Sonic was racing to another part of the ship; leaving, once again, a shocked and disappointed Amy.
Soon, Sonic was in the Master Emerald chamber, where Knuckles was meditating.
"Hey Knuckles, ya mind if I crash here for a while?"
"What is it this time, girl trouble or boredom," asked Knuckles.
"It's Amy," said Sonic giving an annoyed sigh, "she tried to kiss me again."
Behind Knuckles, Sonic saw a giant glowing green emerald, The Master Emerald. Below it, he saw the seven colorless Chaos Emeralds; their energies drained after being used in the final battle against the Metarex.
"Any progress on recharging the Emeralds?" asked Sonic
"No," the echidna said with a sigh. "Nothing like this has ever happened before. I don't know how long it'll take to recharge them; Weeks, months, maybe even years!"
Just then, they felt a rush of wind.
"Okay Rouge, show yourself!" said Knuckles, while looking up at the ceiling, over the Master Emerald.
Hearing this, Rouge the bat swooped down from the ceiling and landed on the floor in front of Knuckles.
"How did you know it was me, handsome," Rouge asked, putting her hands on her curvy hips.
Knuckles narrowed his eyes sternly at Rouge; not daring to take his eyes off this beautiful, yet untrustworthy, thief of a bat for one second. "I could smell your stench."
"Oh, you mean my new perfume," Rouge said with a seductive smile as she slowly strutted closer to the echidna. "Do you like it; it's called, Midnight Bliss. I thought it might help bring us a little...closer."
To emphasize her message, Rouge stuck out her chest against Knuckles' chest. For a moment, Knuckles began to feel a little warm in the face as his eyes scanned up and down Rouge's form; her pale white fur, her sparkling jade blue eyes, her light golden tanned flawless skin, her DD-chest, and the tight fitting bodysuit that clung to her curvy sculpted figure. Knuckles quickly shook off this sudden seduction, and glared at her with stone cold eyes.
"Forget it, Rouge." said Knuckles, his tone filled with annoyance and anger. "You may've fooled me in the past, but now I'm wise to your little tricks. You're not getting the Master Emerald, or the Chaos Emeralds!"
Rouge just looked at the stern echidna with a raised eye brow. "Really. So I'm guessing you knew I was gonna swipe, this?"
Rouge held up her hand to show it now held one of the colorless Chaos Emeralds. Knuckles' eyes widened in surprise then narrowed again as he snatched back the emerald with one hand and tried to throw a punch at Rouge with the other. But Rouge just jumped up (easily dodging the punch) and, with her wings, hovered out of reach above Knuckles' head. Then, she hovered back down and teasingly placed her finger under his chin.
"The thing about me, tough guy," said Rouge. "I'm always coming up new ways to get what I want. And, sooner or later, I always get what I want."
Sonic and Knuckles watched as she walked off to another part of the ship, swaying her hips as she did.
Once she was gone, Knuckles quickly checked the pedestal to make sure the thieving bat didn't steal any of the other emeralds. He then turned to Sonic with a frustrated sigh. "At least you know Amy likes you for who you are, not for what you have."
Suddenly, an alarm rang out and Tails voice echoed over the intercom. "Everyone get to the bridge, we have an emergency!"
Quickly, Sonic and Knuckles rushed up to the ship's main deck, where everyone else was gathered.
"What's up Tails?" asked Sonic.
"The ship is being pulled to a black hole!" replied Tails. The two-tailed fox activated the ship's view screen to reveal the black hole.
"Why didn't you move the ship out of its way?!" asked Amy.
"I tried to, but the hole's gravitational-pull is stronger than I thought! And I'm afraid the hyper thrusters can't pull us away either!"
Hearing this, everyone feared that this was the end.
Just then, Espio spoke. "Tails, if we can't use the ship's hyper thrusters to pull away from the black hole, could we use them to blast ourselves through it?"
Everyone turned to Tails for an answer. "Well, theoretically, yes," Tails replied. "But that would turn the black hole into a wormhole. We'd be blasted into any part of the galaxy, or even a distant uncharted part of the universe."
"Well any where's better than where we are now!" chimed in Vector.
Everyone nodded in agreement, then rushed to their stations.
Knuckles raced back to the Master Emerald chamber. He closed his eyes and, in calm voice, he whispered a prayer.
"The servers are the seven chaos; Chaos is power; Power is enriched by the heart; He who controls the servers, unifies the chaos." Then, opening his eyes, he cried out, "Master Emerald, give us your power!"
The Master Emerald glowed, and its energy entered the ship's engines.
Back on deck, Sonic, Tails, and Amy prepared the ship for hyper speed.
Tails made a full check of the system. "Atomic batteries to full power! Turbines to maximum speed; is everyone ready?"
Over the ship's communications, everyone replied, "Ready!"
Tails knew he had to time the jump carefully; if the ship jumped too late or too early, then the Blue Typhoon, and everyone on board, would be ripped down to the molecular atoms. As the ship was almost to the black hole, he began to count down.
"5…4…3…2...1… activate!"
With a pull and twist of the gear, the ship blasted forward at hyper speed into the black hole.
Instantly, there was absolute darkness.
Silence.
Stillness.
Then, in an unknown part of space, the ship instantly appeared in a powerful bang.
"We've made it!" cried Amy.
Everyone gave out a cheer, while Knuckles only breathed out a sigh of relief.
Suddenly, Tails noticed the ship was approaching an earth-like planet, at a rapid speed. He tried to pull up or slow down, but he couldn't.
"Guys, we have another problem!"
"What is it now, Tails?" asked Sonic.
"We must have burned up the ships fuel during the hyper-jump. We're approaching a planet's gravitational pull at rapid speed and I can't steer away."
"We'll have to abandon ship!" said Amy.
Although Tails didn't want to leave the Blue Typhoon, he knew they had no other choice. So, Tails gave the announcement and everyone quickly rushed to the two large escape pods.
Knuckles was the last one to arrive at the escape pods. He was carrying a leather pouch. Seeing this in suspicion, Rouge leaped out of her escape pod and grabbed at it.
"What's in the bag, Knuckles?' said Rouge, trying to tug the pouch out of Knuckles' hand.
"Nothing that concerns you!" cried Knuckles, tugging back.
The struggle turned into a tug of war, as Knuckles and Rouge pulled the pouch back and forth. In the struggle, the pouch ripped apart, spilling its contents: the fully recharged chaos emeralds! Knowing they didn't have much time; Knuckles grabbed the torn pouch and the blue and white emerald, while Rouge grabbed only the red emerald. The two quickly hurried back to their escape pods. The ship was beginning to burn, when the pods were launched. Rouge and Team Chaotix, were blasted in one direction, while Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, and Cream and cheese, were blasted in another direction.
The Pod burned with blazing heat as it entered the planet's atmosphere. It began to spin out of control, and Sonic and the others started to tumble and bump into each other. The pod crashed and skidded to a full stop.
Knuckles punched the pod door open, then he and the others crawled unsteadily and dizzily out of the pod. Regaining their focus, Sonic and the others looked around to see that their pod had landed somewhere in the middle of a vast, lush forest.
Once she was fully over her dizziness, Amy furiously grabbed Knuckles by the shoulders and turned him towards her. "You Knucklehead! What in the world did you think you were doing!?"
"I think, I was saving my birth right!" said Knuckles, showing the blue and white chaos emeralds.
They were surprised to see that they were restored.
"But Knuckles, I thought you said it would take months, or years, to re-energize them." asked Sonic.
"They do, but that is not important now. What's important is to know where we are, where the others have landed, where the rest of the chaos emeralds are, and where our ship is," Knuckles said, as he tied up the hole in the pouch.
Tails sniffed the air and gazed at the trees and grass that surrounded them. "The oxygen here is clean and breathable, and these trees show signs of vegetation. With these conditions, there may be life on this planet."
"Gee, I hope they're friendly," said Cream, while holding on to cheese.
So, gathering their courage, our heroes began walking into this strange forest.
They walked for almost an hour; seeing nothing but trees for miles around.
Sonic wanted to run ahead, but Tails advised against it; suggesting it was better to stick together.
Suddenly Amy heard the snap of a twig, "What was that?"
Everyone instantly froze. For over a minute they listened carefully, but all they heard was the rustling of the wind in the trees.
"It's quiet," said Sonic.
"Too quiet," finished Knuckles, as he pulled out his shovel-claws.
Almost instantly, dozens of animal soldiers (dressed in military uniforms) jumped out from the surrounding trees, carrying laser muskets and swords. The soldiers aimed their weapons at Sonic and the others.
From out of the crowd of soldiers, stepped a tall, muscular, broad shouldered skunk wearing a leather military shoulder cross strap belt with a sword, and a red beret. Sonic and the others watched as the skunk pulled out a scroll and read it out in a loud stoic voice.
"By the power vested in me, as captain of the Royal Guard and by order of Princess Acorn, I place you all under arrest for trespassing on the kingdom's royal forest. Will you surrender quietly, or shall we be forced to use drastic measures?"
Sonic and Knuckles just looked at each other, thinking it was a stupid question, and positioned themselves for battle.
"We'll take the hard way, captain!" said Sonic.
With narrowed eyes, the skunk put away the scroll and drew his sword.
"So be it! Men, seize them!"
The soldiers charged at the young travelers, and Sonic, Knuckles, and Amy, charged back.
Like a pinball, Sonic bounced at each soldier with a burst of speed, knocking them to the ground. Soldiers fired their laser muskets at him, but Sonic was too quick and easily dodged each blast.
Amy swung her Deko-Deko Hammer wildly at each soldier, especially the ones surrounding Sonic.
Knuckles soon found himself surrounded by soldiers with swords. As the soldiers charged at him, Knuckles lashed out with his fists, and knocked each one, hard, into a nearby tree or rock. Then, he came face-to-face with the skunk.
"Queensberry Rules!" declared the skunk, as he sheaved his sword and held up his fists.
Knuckles didn't understand what the skunk said, but he knew a challenge when he saw one. He put away his shovel claws and held up his own fists.
Knuckles and the skunk jabbed, blocked, and dodged the other in a flurry of fists. Knuckles threw a hard punch to the skunk's chest and knocked him back. He was about to deliver another punch, when a rope lassoed around his arm.
"Yeehaw!" cried a voice.
Knuckles turned and saw what appeared to be a rabbit, wearing a tan vest and a western-styled hat. Knuckles grabbed the rope and jerked it back hard with all his strength, which sent the rabbit flying towards him. But, after overcoming its shock, the rabbit shifted its legs forward into a flying-side kick. The force of the kick hit Knuckles so hard, that it sent him flying through a tree and slammed him into a large rock. As his back was slammed into the rock, he didn't notice that one of the emeralds, the blue emerald, flew out of the pouch and into a nearby bush.
As Knuckles shook off the daze, he looked up and was shocked to see that the rabbit was . . . a girl; wearing a short, pink tank top dress, which hugged her attractive figure; her golden harvest hair was braided up into a ponytail, with a tuft of hair curled on her forehead. He also noticed that its left arm, legs, and lower body were metal and robotic. Shaking off this confusion, Knuckles threw a low kick to the rabbit's stomach, knocking the wind out of her. He then threw a punch to the jaw, and knocked the rabbit/robot to the ground unconscious.
"Nice hit" he said, looking down at the rabbit. "But it's going to take a lot more than that to beat me!"
Knuckles rushed off to continue the fight.
Meanwhile, Tails, Cream and Cheese, were ducking for cover. Since Tails didn't have the X-Tornado, or any of his equipment, he couldn't defend either himself or Cream. Suddenly a couple of soldiers spotted and grabbed them. Tails and Cream struggled to escape, but the grip of the soldiers was too strong. Then the skunk walked over and held the blade of his sword to Tails' neck. Sonic, Amy, and Knuckles saw this and instantly stopped.
"Either you shall all come peacefully, or this child's life shall end!" declared the skunk, not wanting anymore delays.
Not wanting either Tails or Cream to be hurt, Sonic and the others, with raised hands, walked with the soldiers deeper into the vast forest.
