Don't Leave Me Joe/David

"No Joe! I don't want you to go!" David yelled, wrapping his arms firmly around the love-mecha's neck. David had come to rely heavily on his friend, and didn't want the bad men to take him away. David had already lost so much. Mommy, Henry, Martian, he didn't want to lose Joe too. Teddy climbed over, adjusting his arms so that he became like a backpack, so that David would have his hands free.

"What about your wish David." Joe asks, still keeping a hold of the chopper.

"I changed it, I want to stay with you Joe." David said, sounding like he was going to cry. The pull of the police chopper overhead became too strong, and Joe couldn't hold on any longer. They were pulled out, into the air. David used some of his strength to pull his legs up so that they wrapped around Joe's waist.

"You know we will most likely die." Joe said.

"He's right David." Teddy said, looking up at the boy.

"I don't care. I want to stay with Joe." David replied, holding the love-mecha closer. He had come to love Joe, like a big brother or father like figure. Joe understood him, cared for him, and had helped David on his journey. And not once did the mecha let go of his hand. He would gladly give up his wish to return to mommy if he could stay with Joe forever.

"Oh David." Joe said, wrapping his arms around the child mecha. He had come to truly care for the boy. To be true, he hadn't wanted to leave David. So Joe held the boy tight as the cargo bay doors of the police chopper opened and they were taken into it.
