I hate the outdoors, no wonder I always stay inside. It all began with a terrible incident, I got sunburn, what were you expecting? Some sort of heartfelt tragic story of a powerful half vampire, half angel, half demon; you do not need to be born with power to change a world or in my case a future.

That then brings us to the question "how can someone powerless change a future?" for you see I said born powerless, not, born useless.

It all started when a nuclear war began. It is actually rather humorous, it was all because some silly official had a drug party with his wife and ended up pressing the big red button before committing suicide when he was still high, as for the wife, she died in the blast or, this what we were told. This lead to countless people dying and the rich running off to a safe haven, a huge ship called the 'Dawn' that, as the name implies, would hopefully lead to a brighter future. It is funny as how as the sun rises it also can come crashing down upon the earth. This 'dawn', as soon as it set of to Antarctica exploded because of terrorism caused by governments turning against each other in this new Dark Age, so like the Titanic, it was unsinkable but yet it sank killing all on board.

Where was I during this apocalypse you ask? I was with my loving family, eating dinner on the beach with the Isle of Wight in view when what looked like a distorted mess came rushing towards us, me being five at the time make me fussy on the details but I simply remember my parents protecting me and my older brother from the blast. Unlike so many others we were lucky, at least that is what we thought at the time.

That year was known as the year of the snow because of the 'winter' that followed. The year the true effects of war come into play, war that involves the world, is fought by the people in the world, and destroys our world.

Or should I say past.
