A/N: Another one of my random stories with random plots that I'm not completely sure we're they're going until they've written themselves...Read and Review and tie your shoes!
It was two months into the summer that the Order of the Phoenix decided to reclaim one of its most valuable assets.
This asset being a teenage boy with muddled raven hair and glasses in front of emerald eyes. This boy had been residing at his aunt and uncle's house for the time being. This was no luxury for they were cruel unsympathetic towards the death of this boy's godfather.
It was midday that found Harry Potter swinging on the only swing still intact at the public park. In a year, no one had bothered to fix up this park, not that it would remain intact for long with Dudley's gang around, but still...
He glanced at the one next to him and rubbed his eyes. He could have sworn that it was in at least three pieces a moment ago, but now it silently swung, gleaming in the sunlight, good as new.
He shook his head and wandered back to his thoughts around Sirius, not that they were ever about anything else these days.
A snap from the trees behind him, made Harry jump. He spun around, but saw nothing. Squinting into trees made no difference.
He settled down again. Being paranoid would not help the situation...what ever the situation was...
He tried to be calm, but it was hard when the words Voldemort is right behind you, etching their way into his mind.
The hairs on the back on his next were pin straight in the air in foreboding.
A squeak from the newly unbroken swing told Harry exactly where his enemy was...
He turned around slowly, preparing himself for whatever it could be.
However, he did not prepare himself for it being the face of Reamus Lupin, Harry's former teacher and friend.
"Hullo, Harry."
"Professor," Harry exhaled, relieved he would not have to duel with Voldemort in the middle of a muggle neighborhood in broad daylight, "Did you come to pick me up?"
"Do you think I fancied a walk around the park?"
Harry almost smiled, something he had not done in months.
"Well, come on Harry, let's get your stuff, it ought to be a long day."
To Be Continued...
