She looked up into Merle's face and saw the tears running down from his soft blue eyes, seeing his pain at what was happening hurt more than the bite wound at her side. She never meant to get close to anyone, didn't want anyone to mourn her passing but Merle just had a way about him. Holding up a bloody finger to his lips to keep him from speaking she smiles.

"You have such a good heart, Darlin', such a pure soul in a world full of hate an' evil. I'm blessed to have known ya.

Couple things I wanna get out before I ask you to do what has to be done. First, under my bunk is a box that has some stuff in it. My family bible an' Sean's rosary I want you to have 'em, mine an' his weddin' bands ya make sure Glenn an' Maggie use 'em, the stuffed bunny give to. . . ."

The pain from the wound becomes unbearable for a moment and she turns her face into Merles chest while his arms slide around before he pulls her into his lap. She grabs his shirt in both hands and keeps her head in place as the tears start falling freely.

"Give Judith the bunny 'cause every little kid needs a stuffed toy to cuddle, my daddy's huntin' knife goes to Daryl an' tell him he sucks at playing poker. The pictures burn 'em, keep 'em whatever.

I want you to know its ok, Merle. I'm goin' home to my boys an' I'll make sure that they let you in when you get there but that better not be for a long ass time. Don't wanna see ya up there until you're a cranky ol' man an' you've lived a long happy life. When you get up there you an' me we're gonna split a bottle an' make fun of Rick, alright?

Don't let me turn into one of them, that's my final request an' I wish I didn't have to make it of you.

You mean so much to me; you pulled me out from the darkness an' showed me it was ok to live again. That there is still goodness in the world an' it hides in the oddest places."

She could feel the fever burning her out from the inside and her vision was starting to go, she didn't have much time left and used the last of her strength to say goodbye.

"I love you, Merle Dixon an' you better not ever forget what an amazing man you are. You are so much better than you give yourself credit for.

Goodbye, Sugarplum."
