Hey everyone, just another one-shot that I thought about today. It is written for a very special someone, so please enjoy.

Steve sat at his desk, in the SHIELD building. He looked around at all the things he saw, his pictures, suit, shield and some files. Nothing in this room screamed him at all. It was generic, like the army. He was just another someone, not Steve Rogers. Until they injected him the serum, then everyone knew who he was.

But yet she was there for him, telling him he was important to her. She knew who he was and she didn't look at him by his title. She looked at him as her neighbour, someone she loved. She loved him and that was all that mattered to him no matter, how everyone else saw him.

Sharon never called him Captain America anymore, she called him Steve. She came over for drinks, or dinner. They watched her favourite movies, her updating him on every single thing he missed.

She never treated him like they did in SHIELD, like another experiment, she treated him like another human. A man that had his life taken away from him because of the situation he was born into.

And there she lie, in front of him. Bleeding and broken, all because he didn't see that HYDRA was growing under his nose.

She was dying and it was all his fault. He ran to her body, cradling it tightly in his arms.

"Stay with me Sharon, please." He mumbled. "We'll get you help."

She looked up at him. "It's ok Steve." She said softly.

"No no, I can't lose you too Sharon, please." He whispered.

She looked at him with a soft smile, but no words ever came out of her mouth.

Steve held her and cried. He shook her lifeless body, screaming her name. Even though he knew she wouldn't come back to him.

A few agents came over and consoled him, but even they weren't taking the lose to their team very well.
