I saw a post on Tumblr about how the final Stefan, Caroline and Bonnie scene where they were at the Salvatore house made them wonder if Caroline was living there and sleeping in Stefan's bed, and it made me want to write this, so here it is…

CAROLINE'S POV:

"This place is a mess." I sighed as Stefan and I made our way into my old house

"I'm not surprised – no one's been here in nearly 4 years." he replied

"Where do we even start?" I questioned

"Where do you want to start?" he asked

"Nowhere." I admitted "I want to leave it all to someone else to sort…"

"Do you mean sell up?" he questioned

I swallowed a lump in my throat and nodded my head… "I've got all my memories up here. A house is just bricks and mortar, really, isn't it? But I can't just leave it, because if I do, I've got nowhere else to go, not permanently anyway."

"Yes you do." he replied

"What?" I inquired "Where?"

"Why don't you move in with me?" he suggested

"You're crazy!" I proclaimed "We've only been back together a few months. It's too soon."

"Yet you stay every night and practically live there anyway," he replied "all your stuff is there. This is just another thing on your plate that you don't need right now; neither of us do. So what do you say? I'm being serious. I want you to move in with me."

"Seriously?" I questioned

"I want to go to bed with you every night and wake up with you in my arms every morning." he informed me "Like you said, you've got your memories and this is just bricks and mortar. We'll sort through everything else but then you should put it on the market. I won't pressure you if you really don't want to but just know, I'm thinking of our future and I want it together. Move in with me."

"Okay." I replied

"Yeah?" he asked

I nodded my head, squealing as he moved over to me and lifted me off the ground before spinning me around…

STEFAN'S POV:

"Thank you for today," Caroline sighed as we sat on the couch in front of the roaring fire "I knew sorting through everything was going to be hard but you being by my side made it much easier."

I smiled at her warmly and pressed my lips to her forehead… "How about we head to bed?"

"It's 7pm!" she proclaimed

"And?" I questioned "I want to christen what's now our bedroom."

"Well in that case, how can I refuse?" she inquired

Smirking at her, I picked her up and rose to my feet, her legs wrapping around my waist and her arms wrapping around my neck as I carried her up the stairs, kicking the door shut behind us…
