Kaoru sighed. He sat in the chair of Music Room #3, watching his twin socialize with the guests and of course, Haruhi. He tugged down the sleeves of his blazer, making sure nobody could see the cuts on his wrist. Hikaru looked so happy. So happy, without him. All Karou ever wanted was for his brother to be happy, but to BE the one making him happy.

As the two indentical gingers piled into their limo, Karou stared out the window, sighing. Hikaru, however, was to busy texting Haruhi to notice that his brother's eyes began to spill tears. Hikaru, laughing at Haruhi's sarcasm, just made Karou feel worse.

When they exited the car and into their mansion, Karou went straight into the bedroom they shared. Hikaru soon followed him, never looking up from his phone.

"So," Karou began, taking of his light blue blazer, "Do you want to play video games first, or finish the homework?"

Hikaru shrugged with a simple, "Dunno." He continuously hit the keyboard, responding to his crush. He sat down on the bed, taking off his shoes and blazer.

Kaoru sighed. He would never have is brother's attention, even if he tried. He grabbed his notebook and a pen, and left the room. He trailed down the hallway to his old bedroom, the room he only used a handful of times when he was five. The walls were still fresh with paint, the room clean thanks to the maids. He sat down on his old bed, and began to undress and change into his 'street clothes' as he referred to it. The only time he ever wore these was when he was lounging around at home, or the times Tamaki forced him to go on a mission to stalk his brother and Haruhi's first date.

The younger brother sat down at his wooden desk and began writing into his notebook. He eventually heard Hikaru, yelling from his room that he was going out with some friends. Karou responded in a very fake, happy tone, "Okay! Have fun! I'll be here, I'm just doing homework." All lies. He finished up his note, ripped it out and left it on Hikaru's bed. It explained that he was leaving, and probably not coming back.

The two brothers had started taking sleeping pills, assigned by Kyoya. Both gingers had nightmares that would keep the awake, tossing and turning, and even arguing at the early hours of the day.

"Take one if you want to sleep, take two if you don't want to dream." Kyoya paused, writing down in his black notebook. "Never take more than two."

Kaoru moved his way into Hikaru's room, locking himself in their bathroom. He looked in the mirror. It pained him because he not only saw himself, but his brother-his other half. He knew Hikaru didn't want him anymore, it was quite clear.

Kaoru sat in the bathroom for hours, waiting for it to be dark out. When he finally saw the sunset from the bathroom widow, he took a shower, brushed his hair, changed his clothes that he had brought, and took his nightly pills.

He shook the bottle, bring out two. He popped them in his mouth, and washed them down with a glass of water.

He kept the bottle open.

The front door opened, and Hikaru's voice was heard.

He took two more.

Footsteps came up the stairs.

He took one more.

Hikaru came into the room.

Another.

Hikaru sat on his bed, crushing the paper.

Another.

Hikaru removed the slip of paper from his lower end, and read it.

One more.

He gasped.

Kaoru shook the bottle, only one left.

Hikaru's fists collided with the door.

Last one.

Hikaru picked the lock and got it open. Karou held onto the sink, breathing heavily. He turned his head slowly to his brother, his eyes glossed over. He smiled, closing his eyes.

He fell asleep.
