That's All That Matter's

Okay so i'm back ik it's been a while, but this idea really struct me as necessary to write. it came from a discussion i had with my friends while playing a mix of Broomball ( street hockey) and Quidditch, i don't know how we managed to not die but it was fun. anyway i hope you all like this and Happy Holidays to you all. RNR Enjoy! OH! and this is mainly about Sirius and Regulas growing up and apart before Reg's tragically young death.

Prologue

Regulas Black stood watching his older brother zip and soar in the steadily chilling evening air on his broomstick. "Dad, Daddy! When can I have a go? I've been waiting for ages!" the eight year old cried in earnest, in all honesty the child had only been waiting for fifteen minutes. Orion Black smiled down at his youngest son as the boy rocked back and forth on his heels, his patience quickly depleting.

"Soon my child soon. Sirius! Show your brother how to land a dive." The man said, his long black hair pulled back in to a low lengthy ponytail that whipped around his shoulders in the evening wind. Sirius smiled brightly and gave a quick excited nod. The ten year old edged forward slightly and dipped into a deep breath taking dive. Regulas' stormy grey eyes widened in fear for his older brother's life as he watched as Sirius landed gracefully when he came within range of the ground.

"Boys! Dinner!" the boys' mother yelled out from the kitchen window. Orion chuckled and patted Regulas on the shoulder.

"Maybe next time, Reg." Sirius said as his little brother's hopeful face fell. Sirius wrapped his arm around Regulas' shoulder and led his brother into the house, "Maybe next time."

Two nights Later

"Good twist! Sirius! Regulas what were you looking at that was so much more important?" Orion yelled to the boys.

Sirius giggled, "He saw a girl, a little muggle girl."

"Did you now?" Regulas blushed furiously and sent a glare at his brother then shook his head in an obvious lie. "Well Reg, it's okay to have a crush but when it comes to quidditch you have to win the game, that's all that matters." Orion said patting his sons on the back as they walked over to him. Sirius and Regulas nodded understanding.

Later that night

"G'night Reg."

"G'night Sirius, Love you."

"Love you too Reg, and that's all that matters."

"That's all that matters." Regulas closed his bedroom door and turned out the light before crawling into bed. "That's all that matters." He mumbled as he closed his eyes, sleep taking control of his tiny eight year old body.

Sirius stretched out on his bed and watched as muggles drove by in their cars, some teens on motorbikes. He frowned and pulled the curtain closed around his bed. "That's all that matters." He muttered before angrily closing his eyes, Why does she hate me? Was his last thought before closing drifting into a fitful sleep.
