AN: Just a short little nothing. Bought the movie tonight and decided to write something. Might dabble into some slash later, but for now, this is it. :)
Disclaimer: I do not own the movie Jumper. I do not own the characters of the movie Jumper.
Of All Days
David Rice was not going to die today. Maybe tomorrow, or perhaps the day after -- the way things were continuing, either were a possibility. But today -- oh, today -- was most definitely not the day; not while she was standing there in that white dress, looking at him with all the world sparkling in those eyes. Not on their wedding day, of all days.
So even as another shock of electricity slithered through his limbs and his veins like eels, forcing him to convulse and fall to his knees, and even though he had to watch hazily as they held her back, screaming and pleading with tear-stained words, he couldn't help the laughter that bubbled up from his throat and past the blood and pink foam dribbling from his bruised and swollen lips.
Because seeing her fight for him so passionately, David Rice knew today would not be the day that he would die. Maybe tomorrow, or perhaps the day after -- the way things were going, neither were a mere possibility anymore. But today -- oh, today -- was most definitely not the day; not while she was standing there in the red-stained white dress, looking at him with all the pain in the world sparkling in those eyes. Not on their wedding day, of all days . . .
AN: Yes, the end, I think.
