Every night… It's the same thing. That dream, a voice echoes in the background. My steps sound in the dark halls of this lonely house. Why am I here? Words are whispered into the air with a hushed voice, my ears can't seem to understand them. Again… A faint murmur.

"Help me…"

His voice calls. I looked around, no one. Just emptiness… Darkness. Am I just hearing things? A chill ran down my spine, I blinked. There's a boy… Standing in front of me. A bloody mess, he spills tears while mouthing words. No words reach me. In the stillness of the night, he disappears quickly before I could say anything. Not even a word.

Who are you? Why are you here?

The boy appears behind me; I feel his presence and stop dead in my tracks. Not daring to look at him I kept my gaze away from his face. I could feel him even though our bodies were distant from each other. A feeling crept over my heart, a sudden urge to embrace the young boy. I felt his arms wrap around my waist, his breath against my neck.

I turned around looking at him with softened eyes. Pitying him… My hand reached up to caress his face, his skin was slightly rough. I ran my finger tips slowly against the cuts on his face. I couldn't see his eyes; his bangs covered that lifeless gaze. Sadness, despair, loneliness. Those feelings surrounded my heart the moment I saw him; standing there hopelessly hoping to escape from this hell. He began to speak again.

"I've waited all this time…"

I could clearly understand his words, but what did he mean? Waiting all this time, for what? The boy moved closer to me, I brushed away his hair from his eyes. He was handsome. Even though he was imprisoned in this hell for years. Someone finally stepped foot in here, seeing him for the first time. His eyes had a black tint to them as they glistened without emotion. His lips moved again as he spoke. How I wanted to kiss them.

"For you to come save me…"
