Lacy here. Just a shot little fic for The Fight that randomly popped into my head while I was eating dinner. I know I come up with fics at the weirdest times. Also, this does not in any way tie into either of my series. Have fun!
Disclaimer: I'd have made this part of the episode if I owned the show.

"Welcome back."
Hotch turned around and found Emily behind him. He'd stepped outside for a bit of fresh air. He wasn't expecting someone to follow him, though he should have guessed Emily would. She'd been a near constant figure at his side for some time now.
"What do you mean welcome back?" Hotch asked.
Emily smiled as she stepped up to Hotch's side. "In case you didn't notice Hotch, you smiled and laughed more today then you have in a very long time. That frown I feared was permanent finally vanished and you have no idea how glad I am to see it gone."
Hotch smiled. He knew Emily was right, she normally was. "All I can say is I've finally let it all go. The guilt, the anger, it's gone."
"That's great Hotch." Emily said. "That's a very good thing."
Hotch nodded. "It is and it feels really good."
Emily reached out and squeezed Hotch's arm. "I'm happy for you Aaron."
"Thank you Emily." Hotch said. "You know I didn't get there on my own. You helped a lot."
Emily looked away briefly but Hotch could see a smile on her face. "I couldn't just sit by and let you and Jack work through it on your own. I wanted to help."
"I'm glad you did." Hotch said.
Emily pointed over her shoulder. "Think we should head back in?"
Hotch nodded. "In one second."
Before Emily could register Hotch moving, he leaned forward and kissed her. Working on instinct, Emily wrapped her arms around Hotch's neck and returned the kiss. They broke apart and Hotch rested his forehead against Emily's, his hands on her waist.
"It's been a while since you've done that." Emily said, slightly breathless.
Hotch nodded. "I know and I'm sorry I pushed you away after Haley and Jack left."
Emily shook her head. "Don't apologize Aaron, I understand why you did it. I'm just happy you're letting me back in now."
Hotch smiled. "And never letting you go again. I don't think Jack would forgive me."
Emily laughed. "Come on, before Dave sends a search party."
Taking Emily's hand, Hotch allowed her to lead the way back in.
