"Pound it!"
Cat Noir and Ladybug said in unison, fist-bumping another victory. Ladybug's miraculous just cleaned up after another acuma attack and the now serene streets of Paris sat beneath them as they stood on a rooftop overlooking the Seine river.
Ladybug looked up at the sunset, Cat Noir rubbed the back of his neck nervously, he felt bad bugging her about her identity, but the pain in his chest urged him. He needed to know. "Nice job today m'lady, as usual." He began trepidatiously. She grinned at him causing his heart to stutter slightly. "You too Cat Noir." She replied.
"So... Ladybug-" he continued. But he was cut off by a pair of beeps, indicating that she was running out of time.
"Ah, maybe another time kitty." Ladybug said knowingly.
"Uh!" Cat noir made to stop her, this charade was making him desperate to know more of her. But she turned and started jogging away as she spun her yo-yo. She threw her weapon grappling it onto a building nearby and calling out her signature "bug out!" as she leapt off the edge of the building and lifted herself gracefully into the night.
The feeling of desperation crept up on him and he reacted blindly, grabbing his staff. He held the weapon out and activated the screen. A small tracking device shot silently out of Chat Noir's staff and darted off after Ladybug. "Come on, come on!" He said to himself. He clenched his fists and watched in anticipation as it swept upwards. The small device shot after her and caught just on the corner of a building as she swung around and disappeared from sight.
He sighed in defeat and flopped onto the ground. "Oh man, what did I just try to do?". He knew with this one simple action he would have betrayed her trust. This made him guilty and conflicted, but then he remembered that he can naturally find her with his miraculous. A warning beep from his ring snapped him out of his thoughts.
He held his weapon out and opened the map, his hands shaking. It displayed the small digital map of Paris. After a moment the map zoomed in on a green ladybug symbol that was gliding smoothly over the city. He bit his lip anxiously, looking at the familiar city layout. The symbol slowed down and arched around a building, Cat Noir's miraculous beeped again. He held the device closer and watched as the ladybug stopped on the roof of a very familiar bakery. He stared unblinkingly at the screen until the screen went dark and his suit began to dematerialize.
If enough people like this I might write the rest, I already have a second part written. This is my very first go at writing and publishing my story ideas so expect some weirdness and inconsistency. Thanks for reading ヽ(•‿•)ノ
