So, I was watching episode 33 of Yu Yu Hakusho, and when Toguro said that his team was really lazy and they didn't want to fight the spirit warriors, it got me thinking. Why would Karasu and Elder Toguro, the two characters I thought would most want to fight, want to do something else? After thinking this over for more hours than I care to admit, this was created. Yay?

Disclaimer: Is Karasu alive? No? He's still dead? Then I guess I don't own Yu Yu Hakusho or any of these characters.

The younger Toguro brother looked up at the clock in the hotel lobby for the third time in five minutes. He was beginning to feel a little frustrated. Their team had their first match of the Dark Tournament in twenty minutes, and none of his team members were here yet. Granted, Bui wasn't even at the tournament yet, but he had at least expected Karasu and his brother to be here by now. Sighing, he began making his way towards the elevator to take him back to his room. He would get to the bottom of this.

As soon as he walked in, he knew immediately why Karasu had not met him downstairs. Toguro frowned and walked up to the bathroom. He pounded on the door.

"Karasu, get out of the shower! We have a match in almost fifteen minutes!"

"What? I'm not done yet!" Karasu's voice sounded muffled through the locked door of the bathroom, but Torguro was still able to pick up the words.

"I don't care! Get out!"

The water turned off and thirty seconds later a sopping wet Karasu wearing nothing but his mask and a towel around his waist cracked open the door.

"What's so urgent? I was in the middle of-"

"We have a match in less than fifteen minutes. You do not get a free pass to miss this fight just because Bui is not here. Now put some pants on and let's go."

"Why?" a new voice joined the conversation. Both looked over to see a shirtless elder Toguro walking towards them. "It's not like they're worth our time."

"I agree, but-"

"But what? These weaklings wouldn't last long against any of us. You can take them all on at once and be back here in five minutes."

The younger Toguro pondered this for a minute. It would make things simpler, and he would be able to finish the fight quickly. If his brother or Karasu fought, they might take extra time to "play" for a while, and he never did particularly enjoy watching them. Nodding in approval, he looked back to Karasu.

"Fine, finish up whatever you were doing." These words had barely left his mouth when the door slammed shut and the water was turned on once again. Shaking his head, he turned to his other teammate.

"Are you sure you don't want to come fight?" His older brother shook his head with a laugh.

"They wouldn't be much of a challenge, and I doubt they'd be any fun."

Shrugging, younger Toguro left the room, went down the elevator, and began his walk to the stadium. He wondered if Urameshi would be there to watch the fight. The corners of his mouth twitched upward. Yes, he may need to show off his strength a little. Just to make sure Yusuke got the message.
