The story takes place in the year 2000, just a year before the Kirby Incident. John Hammond passed away two years prior, and his bio-engineering company known as InGen has been purchased by Sanjay Masrani, owner of Masrani Global. After the events of The Lost World, the United Nations and the Costa Rican government have sealed off Isla Sorna (otherwise known as Site B) and the Las Cinco Muertes island chain from the public eye. Patrol planes fly around the islands monthly to ensure that nobody, whether it is poachers, scientists or just some thrill-seeker looking for an adrenaline rush, try to set foot on the islands.

This of course doesnt mean that everybody has been kept out.

There have been a few instances where people managed to evade the watchful eyes of the patrol planes and infiltrate the islands. In January, a group of poachers managed to evade the forces and make landfall on one of the islands. Their goal was to capture dinosaurs to sell on the black market, but made the critical mistake of landing on Isla Muerta, an island close by Site B, which was devoid of any dinosaurs at all. The group was quickly captured and arrested.

Another person, a twenty-five year old college graduate from Kentucky, manged to set foot on Site B. Reports have it that he was looking to have the time of his life before he was to move to Shanghai for his job, but unfortunately he never returned to the mainland. The current theory is that he was killed by one of the island's occupants, which may have been a Spinosaurus, which tend to frequent the beaches where the man planned to enter the island from.

The story you will hear is not a story, but a narration. A group of nature documentarians who plan to produce a wild-life documentary about Site B's inhabitants have managed to place hidden cameras in various places around the island, ranging from the beaches to the game trails to even the abandoned InGen laboratories. The process took two months to complete, and now that the cameras are in place, the footage is ready to be reviewed.

What you will be reading in this story is the life of Isla Sorna's inhabitants, none other than the mighty dinosaurs. From the fearsome Tyrannosaurus to the nimble Compsognathus to the gentle Brachiosaurus, this story will depict how the animals of Site B go about their daily lives, including how they hunt, how they fight, how they reproduce and even how they raise young. Enjoy.
