Dream Date

The corridor is dark as he walks towards the recreation room, which is equally as dark. He cautiously walks in, not sure if this is the right place he should be. He is about to leave until he sees a streak of fire reach across to a candle and then another and another.

"Teyla? Is that you?" he asks suspiciously.

As the candles are lit and grow in numbers, John can see Teyla standing in front of him with an elegant black dress. Her hair is pinned up, exposing the nape of her neck. His heart begins to race as he sees Teyla in a different light.

He begins to pull his eyes away from her and scans the room. He sees a table that is filled with food, wine and many other delectable things.

"What is all this?" he questions with a flirtatious smile.

Teyla smiles playfully, "It is dinner. I told you that I wanted to thank you for saving me."

"You know that I'd do it for…" he begins.

"I know, for any one of us," she interrupts "But this is not the first time you risk your life for me."

"Where's the little one?" John inquires as he scans the room.

"I got a babysitter. It's just you and me," she replies as he gestures for him sit down.

While they enjoy their meal, John sees Teyla reach her hand across the table to hold his. He doesn't move away and gladly accepts her touch.

He clears his throat, "Teyla. There has been something I've wanted to say for a while, but I never could find the right time."

Teyla looks at him lovingly and begins to caress the top of his hand with her thumb.

"I… I love you," he begins to breath heavily and shows a nervous smile. "There. I said it."

Teyla smiles widely. She rises slightly from her chair to lean across the table and John does the same. Their eyes close as the get closer to kiss.

Just as they begin to kiss, Teyla accidentally knocks over her wine glass. John instinctively jerks back as he feels the wetness on the side of his abdomen. Teyla giggles and starts to come around the table to help clean up the mess.

John laughs, "It figures."

As he looks at Teyla's smiling eyes, he hears her call to him, but it's not her voice.

"John! John! Can you hear me?" the voice shouts out.

He sees Teyla's mouth move, but it sounds like another woman calling.

He begins to look nervous, "Teyla?"

She continues to call his name, but a bright light shines around her. It blinds him and he squints his eyes. He slowly sees Teyla fading in front of him.

She reaches her hand out and he can see that she looks scared, "John! John!"

As he extends his arm to grab hers, she disappears. He closes his eyes in anguish.

While his eyes are closed he continues to hear the voice and it begins to sound clearer. It is Sam.

He opens his eyes again and sees that he is buried in a pile of concrete and steel. He shirt is wet from the blood spilling from his wound.

It was all a dream. It was beautiful while it lasted, but it wasn't real. Teyla hasn't been found yet, he is pinned under rubble and time is running out.

Sam and Keller find him and they immediately get him out so Keller can take care of his wounds.

It doesn't know when he'll find Teyla, but no matter what he will find her.
