Chapter 1: Prologue
I was walking around in the middle of the night in a city in Vale. It was raining, but I liked the rain. I was wearing a white shirt and dark jeans; I also had black hair. If you didn't know me, you'd think I was a normal person.
I continued walking around until I was stopped by a few grown men in front of me.
"Alright kid listen up. If you do as you are told to, you might be allowed to live. You're gonna give us all of your money, so we can get on with our lives. Sound good?" the first person said in a cocky voice
"Petty" I muttered under my breath. "What was that, brat!?" the man said as he threw a punch at me. Everyone thought he hit me, but I moved his hand along with mine as I flipped him over me and knocked him to the ground.
"I don't like it when people try to mug others; especially when they underestimate people." I said in a tone which sent chills down the other four people.
"Don't just stand there idiots! GET THIS PIPSQUEAK NOW!" The guy yelled at the top of his lungs. The other four nodded as they all swung at me. I used my middle and index fingers, I blocked their punches and hit each of them in the temples.
"First of all: I can easily counter you five because I've been doing this since I was 5, so I'm not afraid of you guys even if you had high-powered guns." I said with a bit of a dark tone. They thought I was going to walk away then, but I continued talking. " Secondly...I know I'll get a growth spurt eventually..." I said while I looked down with slight shame. I hated how I looked! I was 14 years old, but I was only 4'9; what makes it worse is that most places don't have chairs of stools for my size...so my feet don't even touch the ground when sitting.
"Man...this runt really is in for it now!" the first guy said as he threw a kick at me which appeared to hit, until they looked closer and saw I blocked it with my thumb. I then flicked the guy on the head, rendering him unconscious.
"Holy crap!" the second and third person said simultaneously. "He hasn't even drawn his weapon! What the hell are we going to do now!?" I looked at them and waved my hand in a dismissive matter. "You can start off by going somewhere else and not interfering with us anymore." I said while pretending to go for the weapon I had holstered. They got shocked and decided to run away; I don't really blame them. I haven't really had any time to care about thugs like them. They made the right choice.
I kept walking down the road when I turned the corner and found out that the five thugs got caught by a creature of Grimm. Grimm are creatures made of darkness if you didn't know, and they don't havea soul...literally. No soul inside of their hollow body. They only care for one thing, destruction.
I charged at the Grimm and ran right past it, stopping right behind it. It turned around and lunged at me.
"Look out idiot! You'll get hit!" The thugs said to me.
The Grimm was a inch away from my head when it happened to fall over and dissolved into nothing.
"What the hell was that, kid?" the first thug said while the others took this time to start walking back.
"It wasn't hard...Beowolves are easy compared to others. Heck a King Taijutu is...more...deadly than...*sigh* of course this happens to me." I say as I turn around and see two of the thugs dead inside of a gigantic snake's mouth. It was black with bone-like spikes on it. It had blood-red eyes and it just finished devouring both of the thugs. It also had another head, but this one was white, it happened to be an exact opposite of the other one.
"Guess I'll have to be slightly serious." I said as I pulled out one of my weapons. It was black with a lining made of white.
3 Minutes Later:
I stood still, not panting or anything of the similar, sheathing my weapon into it's holster. The King Taijutu was dissolving as it had just been cut gruesomely. The black head had it's head chopped off, and the white head was cut at the bottom along with both eyes being stabbed deeply. I turned around...to see 7 more beowolves on the end of the block. "You would think someone brought these Grimm here..." I said as I charged towards the beasts.
Right when I got in front of them I slashed one of their heads off, killing it instantly. The other six tried to hit me separately, but I just kept avoiding and swiping at them with my Dagger. I had cut off 2 more heads off, with a kill total of 3, as the other four decided to surround me. They all swiped at me, but I just ducked under them and sliced in a circular motion. When I sheathed my weapon, all of them instantly howled in pain as their legs had been chopped off. They began dissolving as I walked off.
I almost got out of the city when I heard footsteps from behind me.
"I must say, I never expected you to take down 8 Beowolves and one King Taijutu in under 10 minutes. That was a very excellent array of skill there." The tall man said. He was pale with silver hair and brown eyes, he wore a black suit with a green scarf and black glasses just below his eyes.
"Who are you?" I asked the man.
"My name is Professor Ozpin. I watched your altercation with these creatures of Grimm with great interest."
"Are you the one who brought the Grimm here? And what about the two men that were eaten by the King Taijutu?"
"They weren't killed, in fact, Ms. Goodwitch created two human-sized dolls that were made to look like two of the thugs you fought earlier just before the King Taijutu attacked." Ozpin said as the woman in question came out from behind one of the houses.
"So why did you send Grimm to this city, specifically this block, Professor?" She asked curiously
"I don't believe I caught your name, young man." Ozpin had pointed out.
"I'd prefer it that way." I said as I turned my back from them.
"If I may, where did you learn to fight like that, and when did you first kill a Grimm?"
"If you must know, I learned how to fight on my own, and have known how to since I was four. I killed my first Grimm when I was six." I responded to the pale man as I walked away.
"Well you obviously learn quickly, Mr. Pisu."
I stopped midstep at his words. I turned back around and looked at him with a bit of shock.
"I don't believe I told you my name."
"Indeed. I was already aware of your identity before I came here. I asked earlier to see if you would give it without me having to say it on my own.
"What interest do you have in me? I've hid my identity and been incognito for the fast three years."
"Quite a feat when you consider your age."
"Where are you getting this information?" I asked with a bit of a curious tone.
"Gen Zai Pisu, fourteen years old, scarlet red eyes and pitch black hair, a deep scar on your back since the age of 6 and was orphaned at that same age. On top of all of this, you have never lost a battle that has been recorded or filed."
I looked at him with a bit of annoyance "You have a file on me?"
"I knew your parents" he answered
"But they made sure they were outside of the system-"
"Being outside of the system doesn't mean you're hidden from everyone. I was sorry to hear about their passing. Grimm attack if I remember correctly?"
"That's correct..." I said to him.
"It's not that surprising you know. I knew them very we-" Ozpin was going to say before he was cut off by a slightly annoyed Gen
"What do you want?" I practically growled at him
"Do you know who I am?"
"Professor Ozpin, headmaster of Beacon Academy that is located at Vale." I pointed at the woman "You're Glynda Goodwitch, teacher at Beacon and assistant to Ozpin."
"How did you even-" Glynda started before Ozpin cut her off.
"The boy is well informed."
"I listen, unlike most of the people in Remnant." I said to which Ozpin nodded.
"Indeed, people could learn a lot from you. I would like to extend an offer."
"What's the offer?" I asked with a slight tone of curiosity.
"Come to my school, you'd have access to the finest education and training this world has to offer-"
"Not interested" I responded as I turned around.
"I insist you must hear me out" He said. I put my hand on the hilt of my dagger because Ozpin was face to face with my once more.
"How did you..." I said quietly, but not quiet enough apparently.
"You've learned much in the time you've been on your own, but I'm here to tell you that you do not know everything.
"...I'm listening" I said as I released my hold on my dagger.
"Attend my school and I will see to your training myself."
"Like me mentor or something?"
"Precisely" he responded "You'll still have to attend classes like every other student there, but you'll have sessions with me on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. One on one training, of course. Keep in mind I've only extended this offer to two others people." he explained.
I stared into his eyes, trying to see a hint of a lie. When I didn't I sighed, and crossed my arms.
"I'll attend Beacon Academy, but if I even think that you lied to me, I'm going to leave that day." I warned Ozpin. He nodded and looked at me.
"I understand, Gen. I'll let you know that an airship will be waiting to pick you up along with other students that are going to Beacon in just two days. Have a good day now." Ozpin said as I walked away.
"Professor?" Glynda asked whilst approaching him.
"Yes Glynda?"
"In my entire time knowing you, you have never taught anyone personally, so what's special about this kid?" she bluntly asked.
"I was surprisingly close to his parents. In fact both of them went to Beacon Academy and They both were very special. It's a shame how they died. I was promised by his mother to make sure he was taken care of if they both happened to pass away. Reason I haven't done that yet was because he had been on the move ever since he was six. I didn't expect us to be able to find him here considering the difficulty we had trying to track him down in the past" he explained.
"That...doesn't answer my question, professor." she said slightly annoyed. She crossed her arms and started to tap her foot impatiently.
"It's a question that, in due time, will answer itself. You must be patient, Glynda." He said cryptically.
She sighed as she walked away. "I guess I shouldn't have expected a straight answer from you of all people..." she muttered under her breath.
"This year will certainly be an interesting one...especially with Gen joining us for the year. Not only that but we also have Ruby Rose, who is also 14 years old. I didn't expect two things though. The fact that I actually found Gen here, and the fact that he is 4'8 but claims to be 4'9 really proves he doesn't want to be called short. Either way, this will be a year that most will remember; Hopefully remembered as a good one." Ozpin said as he started walking to try to catch up with Glynda.
And that's the end of chapter one! I have been thinking about making a RWBY fanfiction for a while now, and I think it's finally time for me to make one.
I hope you will enjoy not only this chapter, but also the story as a whole. I will have an entire O.C team for my character, so it won't be any five member teams or him being a one man team.
I will try to make sure both stories are updated as fast as possible. I also want everyone to review my stories, not just for questions or critique's, but also to give me idea's for future O.C characters and their semblances.
Hope you have a good day/night, a great week, and remember: Stay positive!
