Tristen ran. Ran down that ramp with a metal baseball bat that she immediately unleashed on the unsuspecting Nexus. They were attacking yet another superstar, and normally she'd be okay with it, except that it was Kane.

The one she loved.

Wade grabbed her arm and yanked her off of Heath Slater, who was unconscious from the blows she was inflicting. Immediately, Tristen turned and swung the bat into the Brit's face, causing him to bleed and giving her a sick satisfaction.

She kept swinging, nailing all of Nexus at least once. Smiling, she launched a swing into Otunga's family jewels and grabbed a mic, tossing the bloody bat aside.

"Stay the hell away from him! All of you!", she snarled as they bolted up the ramp and back to the locker room.

Tristen turned and nearly broke down in sobs. There was blood all over him. Vicious wounds that would have made her sick had she not already been used to seeing them.

She began to shake with silent tears, fighting the arms that wrapped around her body.

"Get off me!"

"Rebel, calm down. Calm down, okay? I'm just taking you backstage. Breathe, sweetheart."

Tristen went limp in Randy's arms and allowed him to carry her out of the ring.

Randy gently set the exhausted girl on the locker room bench, snarling as he saw the finger bruises that Barrett had left on her arm.

What was their motivation this time? To attack a man so viciously that Tristen had felt the need to save him?

Tristen mumbled to herself, and Randy moved closer to hear her.

"Blood. Blood everywhere. Can't stay here, have to leave. No! Stop! It hurts."

He put a hand on her arm, trying to calm her.

"Wade, no. Please. Stop hurting me."

"Hey, Baby Straightedge, breathe. Wake up, Tristen."

"No!"

He shook her harder, finally waking her up as her eyes darted around the room.

"Where's Kane? I need to see him!"

"He's at the trainer."

Tristen sat up and swung her legs over the bed, standing up and walking out of the room.

She made it to the trainer's in record time, but stopped at the sight of blood on the floor.

"God, no."

"Tristen."

"No. It's everywhere. Too much blood."

"Tristen."

The girl fell to her knees and began hyperventilating.

"Tristen!"

She looked up into a pair of eyes, one blue, one brown.

"What's the matter?"

"Y-you were hurt. There's so much blood."

Kane pulled her off the floor and against his chest.

"Don't you know it isn't real yet? I was fine, Princess."

Tristen shook her head.

"But the blood-"

"Was fake. See?"

Kane wiped his face and revealed no injuries. Tristen blinked.

"The hell? I saw blood and everything!"

"All fake! Trust me, Tristen. Nexus couldn't hurt me if they wanted to."

Tristen nodded, then started to hit the large man.

"You are an ass! I ran out there swinging a metal baseball bat for nothing?"

"Metal baseball bat?"

Tristen shrugged.

"All they had under the ring."

He laughed and walked out of the room.

"You are crazy!"
