YO YO YIGGITY YO!!
Okay, so this is a fanfic I wrote a long time ago, like back in grade seven. (okay, so it was only about ten months back....whatever.)
I don't know if I'm going to continue it.....I can barely remember what the original plot was.
Anyway.
If you like it, and want me to keep going with it, then please tell me. In short, REVIEW!! Ahkay?
I don't own PPG or Dexter's Laboratory.
Bubbles sighed as she looked up at the sky. The rain felt cool on her skin, and the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks was soothing. Her clothes were sticking to her, but it didn't matter. All she wanted was to finally feel some peace.
Gently, she let her thoughts roam free. Pictures swirled around in her head, colours flashed, and she was taken back to those painful moments from earlier that day.
"I saw my baby, crying hard as babe could cry, what could I do? My baby's love had gone, and left my baby blue, nobody knew" Bubbles happily sang along with her MP3 player as she walked up her driveway. Today was the last day of school, which meant she could actually relax for once.
Finally, she had reached her front steps. Being careful not to drop her bookbag, she turned off her MP3 and slid it into her jeans pocket. She stretched her arms a bit, and then walked up her steps and through her front door.
She was ambushed by Blossom, who had thrown herself onto her the moment she stepped over the threshold. Choking slightly under Blossom's mechanical grip, Bubbles looked around for a sign to explain her sister's sudden display of affection. Buttercup was sitting on the living room couch, her head in her hands. The Professor was pacing back and forth across the floor, with a surprising speed. Blossom's boyfriend, Dexter, was darting to and fro from the kitchen to the lab.
"Uhm, would someone mind telling me what is going on, and why I'm being strangled to death?" Bubbles asked, her throat constricting slightly. The moment she spoke, Blossom let go of her. Massaging her neck, she gently smiled at Blossom. Blossom didn't smile back, only burst into tears and hugged Bubbles again. Now Bubbles was beginning to become extremely worried. Something was not right at all. But what?
"Would somebody please tell me what's going on?" she demanded, a little more forcefully than before. Buttercup looked up, and seemed to just realize her sister was there. With a sigh of relief, she ran towards Bubbles and hugged her tightly, along with Blossom. Bubbles sighed, and began to become annoyed.
"I really don't want to seem rude, but is everyone here mute today?" Blossom and Buttercup both gave shaky laughs and released her.
"We're just glad you're a-all right." Blossom sniffled. Bubbles raised her eyebrow.
"Okay, now you guys are creeping me out. WHAT IS GOING ON?!" The Professor looked at Bubbles, a grave expression on his face. He held his hand out to Bubbles, and beckoned her to follow him. Slightly cautiously, Bubbles did as she was asked. Professor took her hand, and walked with her towards the lab. He stopped in front of the door, and turned to face her.
"Bubbles, something happened today that you need to know about." the Professor's voice shook slightly. With a slow, deep breath, he opened the door.
For those of you who don't know, the song Bubbles is singing is "Dance Magic Dance" by David Bowie. It's from [my all-time favourite movie] Labyrinth.
