The wind howled and Lloyd huddled deeper into his blanket. Memories that were burned into his mind were revisited, laughing at him, taunting him.
All in one voice.
"Stop fighting! You lost, Green Ninja, face it. You're nothing. Weak. Useless. Wu couldn't have picked a worse person."
The wind sounded like screams.
The screams of the countless civilians that they couldn't save.
The screams of his mom as she was ripped into, her blood covering the walls in sticky red.
The screams of his uncle as he was tortured and killed.
The screams of his dad.
His own.
"Please, STOP!" Lloyd begged Morro.
Morro barely even spared him a glance, metaphorically. Lloyd was in a place beyond the human eye.
Morro was in control.
Lloyd let the blanket drop as he curled into a fetal position. His hands were over his ears as he screamed. He could hear the other ninja burst into his room, worried, but he ignored them.
A hand touched him and screamed even louder, if that was possible, and lashed out. The hand retreated.
Eventually, he lost his voice. In the silence he could hear his friends breathing. That's right, he had friends.
His friends would comfort him, right?
They loved him, right?
He almost opened his arms, but then he remembered. He was contaminated.
Someone stood and walked to him. Again, there was a hand laid on him, and he flinched away.
He didn't want them to touch him, he wanted them away, he wanted all of this to stop!
"Calm down, Lloyd. We're here for you."
Kai.
"Don't be scared of us."
Nya.
"We can help you."
Zane.
They all offered encouragement.
They all offered support.
They all cared about him.
Lloyd lifted his head slightly and opened his eyes, meeting his friend's concerned gazes.
Kai and Nya's amber eyes, filled with caring.
Zane's icy blue eyes, unfeeling and emotionless at first glance, but full of wonder and warmth once you got to know him.
Cole's chocolate brown eyes, holding him up.
Jay's electric blue eyes, cheerful in even the worst of times.
And they looked back at him.
Lloyd's childlike green eyes, filled with too much pain and fear for someone his age.
But somewhere, deep inside, you could still see the child.
The candy loving child, who once tried to rob a village for their sweets.
The curious child, who released the Serpentine.
And the child who became the Green Ninja, prophesied to kill his father.
He had five people who cared, though.
That was more than what some people could say.
I don't know if I had too many repeating things in here, but this took, like, less than 10 minutes to write. It's not going to be very good writing.
