Lightz: Welcome to the Journey Through the Dekuverse

Chapter 01 - King of Heroes and Villains

It's a bright day, clouds overhead occasionally blocking out the eye of heaven. A calm wind blows. Down in the mountains of Japan, the rumbling of machines can be heard throughout. Animals in the vicinity scurry as soon as the danger today shall wreak reaches their instincts.

These vehicles stop in front of the base of a cliff. There a man stands as if waiting for their arrival. He turns around to reveal his full appearance; he wears a black undersuit that holds a green rim design on the left and right of his abdomen. On top of this under suit is crimson armor over where his shoulders and chest. Along the edges and certain parts are splashes of gold. His gloves are black with tones of crimson but have gold tips at the edge of his fingers and on his fingers to resemble scars. His waist holds a crimson utility belt and an armored padding on the side of his thighs and his whole legs from his knees to his ankle. His boots are black with gold colored rims where his toes would be. His face is masked with a black mouth plate to cover his mouth and nose and black visors that cover his eyes. He also has a stylized black and red helmet with rabbit ears that mock All Might's. He carries a sword behind a black cape with a red interior that stops at his ankles.

"SDF, some of the top ranking heroes, and you guys…" The man stares down the people that have him cornered to the enormous cliff behind and above him. He raises a finger counting them all as he murmurs: "To think they would go to such lengths to capture a lone villain."

Kamui Woods steps forward. "Duke, stand down. Do not resist."

"Get lost, Woods." Duke glares at the man. "I've already come to a point of no return."

"Then, it's out of our hands." The armed men take aim and fire, unloading their arsenal of bullets into the villain. They fly, but stop dead just in front of his armor, as if safety glass is in place and they're bouncing off it.

"Next you'll want to fire the explosives." As if lead by his words, the soldiers take aim and fire grenades out of M32s. These weapons hit their target, covering him in smoke. He doesn't budge even as it covers him.

After getting the order to hold, the soldiers stop firing. They keep their guns aimed at the smoke cleared, revealing the target standing completely still. Duke sighs, coughing from the sudden inhale of smoke, and glares.

"Which of you are the defensive team?" The villain raises his left hand before them.

Kamui notes the blue flames lit on his fingers, before shouting, "RUN!" But it was too late.

Streams of blue flares shoot out like spider webs. They move in curved paths slicing through people's sides grazing them. Kamui Woods gets his arm lit aflame, and he falls over screaming in pain. "Next…"

"…is me!" screams Mount Lady as she prepares to enlarge herself. But she stops herself when she notes how narrow her space is, knowing she'll only squash the others. "Uh oh." She gets blown away by a blast of wind from his right hand.

Duke walks forward among the many soldiers he's lit on fire. He then notices a series of feathers soaring across the battlefield at high speeds, the wind blowing out the azure fires. Duke stares up at the man responsible, Hawks. He says, "Move aside. This is your next warning."

The avian hero flies down at Duke, drawing one of his plumes and brandishing it as a sword. He comes in to slash Duke, who makes a jump over it flipping. Upon landing, he draws his own sword while turning around to slash, cutting through the follow-up feather slash.

Hawks flaps his wings to go higher avoiding any more close ranged attacks. Instead, Duke stretches his fingers upward, which shoot out into black and red tendrils that puncture Hawks' stomach. He groans before screaming out as all of his feathers fly out. "What is…"

"Forced Quirk activation," he tells birdman. "I'm forcing you to release your feathers. Until…"

And all of his feathers fly off until all that's left are the stubs that hold the plumes. With nothing to keep him afloat, Duke drags Hawks down into the ground with a slam.

"You were all fated to lose this battle. Do you know why?" Duke stretches his hand out, blue flames and a black mist forming around his fingers.

"Shut up, nerd!" As he prepares to move, Duke glances up at the sight of a lone man coming at him from above. Noticing the spiky ash-blond hair he possesses, Duke falters. The man swings his left arm and slams his palm into him, causing an explosion to rock him.

Duke remains standing but staggers slightly. "Kacchan…"

Bakugo makes a landing, staring him down. "I knew it was you, ya damn nerd! You think you can fool me with that crazy get up?!"

"I'm glad you're here…" He places a hand to the ground, and a black mist erupts from within him through the floor.

The heroes and soldiers around shift as they sink into darkness, all except Bakugo and the mist manipulator himself. The walking nuke stares at Duke, all alone. He stands with a snarl, saying, "So you finally listened to me and stopped trying to be a hero, and instead became a villain?!"

"What does it matter to you?" Duke straightens himself, throwing his arms outward with a callous laugh. "I'm just a runt, a pebble, a man who was below even the most useless Quirk users. Why should you care what a Quirkless person does?"

"Shut up!" Bakugo rushes forward, his hands sparkling with light. "I'm going to blow you away."

"Your attitude hasn't changed at all, has it?" Duke turns away from Bakugo as he speaks. "I guess UA didn't teach you anything, have they?"

"I'll show you just what I've learned." He rushes in and aims both his hands. "DIE!" He unleashes his explosions, covering Duke in smoke.

The smolders soon clear away, and to Bakugo's surprise, he sees Duke still standing with his back turned. He states, "If the guns, grenades, and feathers didn't work, what made you think your explosions would?"

"Don't take me for an idiot. That barrier of yours is finally broken." Bakugo then uses an explosion to turn into a spin kick. His blow connects, hitting Duke in the left side of his head. "That's why you staggered earlier. It's like the video game boss who puts up protection that needs to be broken down to damage him."

Duke staggers back a bit and glares at him. The visors glow crimson as he looks at his childhood friend. He stretches his arms out, the dark mist merging with the blue flames again. With his other hand, he releases a burst of wind pressure that sends Bakugo flying away.

The blond gets back up and stares at him. "What the hell?"

"Did you think that would be enough? Of course, you can still try again. As hard as you can." Duke raises a hand to Bakugo.

His opponent gets back up and raises the grenade looking gauntlet on his right arm. "Fine by me." He aims at Duke and grabs the pin attached to the side. "Don't blame me when I kill you then!"

Pulling the pin, a massive fireball of an explosion shoots out towards Duke. Everything in Bakugo's pathway erupts into a fire, nothing for him to see. As the explosion finishes, Bakugo gapes in shock when he sees that nothing in front of him has been destroyed. Not Duke, not the grass, not even the air has that scent in the air.

"Wha…" Bakugo drops to a knee. "What did you do?!"

"I've stolen a magnitude of Quirks from many villains and Noumu." His red eyes dart at Bakugo. "So I can do plenty of tricks, like this one." A black mist forms overhead in the skies. From out within the darkness, Bakugo bares witness to an array of flaming rocks raining down upon their battlefield.

The nuke user runs away, despite many of the meteors reaching him. "Using the explosion you made just now to damage the rocks of a cliff, I can then use this teleportation power to move them here and send down upon you."

"Damn you, Deku!" These are his last screams before he gets struck by one. The rest of the meteors rain down to pummel him into smoldering mush.

Duke watches as the event unfolds, his visors no longer glowing. "Good riddance." He then walks away, a slight laugh of satisfaction in his voice as he exits into a portal he made.

"What do you mean we're out?"

"It's just like I said; we're out!"

"And you just wait to tell me we're out of cheese now?!"

"I was busy sealing up the thirty-first dimension, as you asked."

"You're incorrigible, Deku."

We come to a large mansion of a building situated within Greenwich, England. Within this British sanctum, an old man walks down the stairs heading for the front door. Passing by various artifacts, the man comes before the person he spoke to before.

This green-haired young adult is a male with a dark blue tunic similar to a robe over dark green pants with dirty black boots. He wears straps around his waist and his arms. On his chest hangs a necklace of gold.

He closes his emerald eyes with embarrassment as his guest leaves. "I'm sorry."

"You can reimburse me, right?" asks the man as he prepares to open the door. "I've only got rupees on me."

Izuku sighs at that. "Why does no one carry cash on them?"

As he makes this gripe, the two pause for a minute. The building they're standing in just shook. Deku looks around and notices the air shifting. He raises his hand to touch it, the result of which caused a bright light to slowly form. The light spreads until forming a cerulean hole.

"Wait, isn't this…"

Out from the hole steps a person. Staring the new one in the eye, Deku notices an uncanny resemblance, between the two of them. In his left hand, this look-a-like has a sword that holds the same shape as a skeleton key.

"H-Help…" He makes this out with every ounce of his pain and drops to the floor.

From one of the shelves housing his many antiquities, a red cape flies out and wraps around Deku. He looks down at his dimension traveling doppelganger. "This isn't good."

Yusei: Well, here we come to the Dekuverse Take 2.

Kei: Isn't this the part where you insult that guy who keeps leaving unhelpful criticisms?

Yusei: Nope. I've stopped entertaining him.

Julia: Boys, please do grow up. Next chapter, we'll begin the assembling of these other Ds.

Kei: Ds? What do you think this is, One Piece? How many Dekus are in this story?

Yusei: Who knows? Stick around to find out!
