AN: Hello there! Poor Jack, I really felt for him! That scene hit right in the feels, so I wrote this little piece. Not beta'd, all the mistakes are mine. Hope you enjoy!

He runs, not seeing where he is going. Legs moving, taking large desperate steps forward. Away. Away from that place, away from the shaken boy he hurt, away from Sam, Dean, and Castiel—his family. When he comes back to his senses he's on a forest path. The dry leaves crunch under his feet. He slows down. The thoughts in his head are going in circles with no end. The feeling of self-hatred threatens to overwhelm him.

A fist comes up, and he directs the blow at himself, over and over again. It feels good.

"You keep hurting people!"

Imagines of all his mistakes and failures are dancing before his eyes. It's going around and around. Guilt, shame, confusion, and sadness. His head pounds painfully. Eyes stinging with hot tears.

"Why do you keep hurting people?!"

His step falters, the green world blurs around him and he squeezes his eyes shut. A sob rips itself out of his chest. He brings a hand to his face and lets out a shuddering breath. Then his legs are moving again. No destination, just away.

Suddenly his thoughts are interrupted. A sound of fluttering wings. And he turns.

"Hi, son." Says Lucifer.
