Have you ever been outside on a snowy night? Have you ever just watched the snowflakes fall? Have you ever wanted warmth on a cold winter night?

I shivered slightly and dug my freezing hands deeper into my jacket pockets. I kept my head held low as I tried my hardest to not look at the green eyed boy in front of me.

"Please..." he croaked. "Please look at me." I desperately wanted to look at him, but, I was scared. I was scared of my feelings.

Percy took my small, fragile hand from my pocket into his large, muscular one. Then he placed his other hand onto my chin. He let it rest there. Now, I couldn't resist. I forced my small head to look up at him. I saw hurt in his eyes. I wanted to break down crying. To fall into his arms and let him comfort me. But, I couldn't. The only thing I could do was notice his warm breath getting closer to my face.

Wait! I can't ruin the best part! We have to start from the beginning...

December 1st

Today is the day that the snowflakes began to fall. Heavily.

Well, sure there was already snow on the ground and it had already snowed, but, today the snow was pretty bad.

When I first woke up and looked out my window, the snow was light. Back then, the snow was those really big, fluffy snowflakes that make winter so pretty.

Now, they were still those big snowflakes, except, there were a lot more of them. It was a pure whiteout. And the wind didn't help either.

I thought about this as I stared at wall of white while I sat in the cold bus seat.

The bus was driving slow and steady. Well, as steady as it could be.

The bus stopped at another house and another human hopped on the bus. I peeked up from behind my seat to see a boy with black hair speckled with flakes of white. His rosy cheeks and his grin made him look funny, but cute. Percy.

I smiled as he made his way toward my seat.

I moved my backpack just before he sat down.

"Hey!" he grinned.

"Hi... Are you okay? You seem a little..." I never finished because he interrupted me.

"Cold? Well, as they say, tis' he season to be freezing!" He snuggled his face into his jacket.

I laughed and re-relaxed into my seat.

I saw Percy get out his phone and I snuggled into the window. The usual. I sleep while he texts.

Now, in case you're wondering, me and Percy are not dating. No way. I have known him since we were babies. We tried dating once but it didn't work too well... Lets not get into details. Anyway, Percy's like my brother. He's always been there for me.

I slightly smiled and closed my eyes. Time for sleep!

Five minutes. I thought. Just five minutes.
