Chapter 1: Memories
Harry paced trough Grimmauld place, where he lived now. He was thinking of the war again. 'You have to stop thinking about the war, Harry!', he thought. He began thinking about the happier memories he had from it, which were little. He successfully graduated from Hogwarts after he re-did his seventh year just like almost everyone of his friends; Neville, Hermione, Ron, Dean, Seamus, Luna, Cho an Ginny. Ginny. She broke up with him a couple of weeks after the war. She said: 'I like you Harry, but nothing more. I would really like to stay friends with you though!' And so they did.
Harry heard something tap against the window. It was Hedwig, she impatiently waited to get let in by her owner and give him her letter. Harry took the letter from her while he gave her a treat. 'Took you long enoug, Hedwig! You've been gone for at least a day! I wonder from who this letter is.'
Dear Mr.Potter,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been asked to come teach at Hogwarts school for witchcraft and wizardry, particularly Defence Against the Dark arts since you've had experience with it. We'd like to hear about your decision as soon as possible!
Sincerely,
Headmistress Minerva McGonagall.
Harry was shocked. Why would McGonagall want him as the DADA teacher? He was only seventeen and hadn't studied yet. He read the letter again. 'Since you've had experience with it.' 'Of course', Harry thought. The DA meetings. He kind of missed them. He went to his desk and began to write:
Dear profferssor McGonagall,
I hereby accept your invatation to become the new Defence Against the Dark arts teacher.
Sincerely,
Harry James Potter.
He put the letter in an envelope and seal it whith the Potter seal. Them he gave the letter to Hedwig. 'You have a long flight ahead of you again, Hedwig. This letter is for Professor McGonagall. Be safe!' Hedwig affectionately nibbled his finger before she flew out of the window again.
When Harry stood on platform 9 again, all the memories came flooding back. Ron who liked him almost immediatel, Ginny who wished him luck and the twins planking Molly again. He look around him. He saw parents who were sending their children to Hogwarts and even some professors who departed from King's Cross. He climbed onto the train and searched for an empty carriage. Harry sat down and felt how the train began moving. The bumping was quite relaxing actually. He soon fell in a deep dreamless sleep.
Draco Malfoy was stumbling trough the Hogwarts Express, searching for an empty carriage. He couldn't find one so he decided to go sit with the sleeping professor he saw earlier. He sat down at the opposite seat, and looked at the new professor. He couldn't see him properly because he had covered his head with his jacket. He was exited to go to Hogwarts again, though it only had been two months. He was suprised when McGonagall asked him to become the new potions professor, but of course he accepted the job. He always had liked potions and now with Severus dead, he was honored to fill his place. He was, after all, his godson.
Draco looked at his watch and saw that they would arrive soon. He looked out of the window and saw the beautiful hills. 'I'm lucky that i can look at this for the following years.', he thought to himself. With a loud shreak the Hogwarts Express stopped. He woke up the other professor who was still sleeping. 'Excuse me sir, we arrived.' The professor woke up. 'What time is it?', said a familiar voice. 'Five o'clock. You've slept the whole time.'
