After their shifts had ended, Anderson invited Dredd back to her place to work on their reports together.

"Just to make sure we get the stories straight." she explained. He grumbled something that sounded like he accepted her invitation. Dredd stopped at his place to deal with some things and then swung by Anderson's. She nudged his mind, letting him know the door was open. He approached with a bag of something that smelled familiar.

"Is that Chinese?" she inquired. She also knew that he knew it was her favourite.

"Yep." grunted Dredd. "Mind moving?" he was pointing at her stretched out form on the couch.

Grinning, she denied his request, "Nah, too comfortable." When she didn't move, Dredd set the bag on the floor and lifted her legs. He settled on the couch with her legs on his lap.

"Ready to dig in?" he asked, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. She would be damned if he admitted it was a smile and not a grimace.
