"Axel, come on." Roxas said, running from room to room trying to straighten things that didn't need to be straightened. "I've asked you to pick up you plates like, three times. Zexion and Lexaeus are going to be here in ten minutes, and I really want this place to look neat."
Axel sighed, not tearing his eyes from the flat screen TV that they had just mounted on the wall. "Okay."
Why do I feel like you're not listening to me? The blonde thought, shaking his head and putting this and that here and there to make things look a little more uniform.
--
Twenty minutes later, Zexion and his boyfriend still hadn't shown up, and Axel was still sitting on the couch with his dirty plates in front of him, staring at the TV like some sort of zombie.
"Axel!" Roxas called him a little more harshly than he had initially intended too, but he was stressed and he had a bad day at work and the last thing he needed was to have to baby-sit his redhead. "How many more times am I going to have to ask you? What are you, four? Pick up your plates already!"
Axel looked at Roxas, surprised, then hurt, then smiled weakly. "Okay, Roxy."
The blonde sighed and walked, purposefully, into the kitchen to put away the few extra dishes that he had washed. He was, however, sidetracked when he noticed Axel, moving slowly on the couch, stacking his dinnerware, sniffing about every other second.
He sighed again, this time resigned, and crept up behind the couch, sat on the back. Axel glanced behind him, but before he had a chance to react Roxas pulled him in a tight hug and kissed the top of his head.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you." He began stroking Axel's wild mane of hair, and in response the redhead began purring contentedly.
"Its okay, Roxy. You had a tough day at work, right?"
"That's still no excuse to yell at you." Roxas smiled and idly began twirling the silver engagement ring around his finger. "I'm sorry."
Axel smiled and buried his face against his lover, breathing him in. "You're forgiven. However…"
Roxas raised an eyebrow at the malicious note in Axel's voice. "However?"
"I'm going to give you an opportunity to apologize like a big boy later tonight." He chuckled (a little darkly) and slid his arms around Roxas's waist. "Sound good?"
"Sounds great."
A/N: This is for all you guise who're reading Amber who need a little fluff. You might see this show up in later chapters, but it's been floating around in my head for the last FOREVER and I thought you all might enjoy it. I'm already getting tired of Axel being a jerk, so this was a nice refresher. ^^ Enjoy!
