~Prolog~

"…The greatest fan of your life...Greatest fan of your life."

Fredrick Chase ended his newest song and the crowd went wild; just like they always seemed to do for the country/rock singer. Frederick couldn't help the smile that crept on his face when he looked out into the crowd of fans. He heard his name being chanted thought the whole arena along with the name of his few band members. His smile grew even bigger when he saw his little birthday girl running on stage and into his open arms.

"Daddy," She cried jumping into her father's arms and laughing as he spun her around. "I'm going to miss you Daddy. You know when you're on tour." She mumbled into his neck as he began to walk off stage. That's right he was going on tour for a year, the adrenalin for the opening night almost made him forget the fact he was going to be leaving his now 7 year old daughter, 12 year old son and his wife, Athena

"That was great show honey." Athena said after kissing him on the check.

"Yeah nice job dad." Said Malcolm, his 12 year old son who was walking over to him now with a very pretty brunet waving goodbye to him.

"Who's that son?" Frederick in his best fatherly voice.

"Oh, her? Well that's um, she's you know," Malcolm trailed off.

"Did you get her number?" He asked his son with a cocked eyebrow. Malcolm, not positive of his father's intentions nodded his head. "That's my boy." He bellowed laughing loudly and clapping his son on the back. Athena rolled her eyes at Fredrick's childless while Annabeth laughed in her father's arms.

"You think that's funny Annie?" Malcolm asked his little sister while their father set her on the ground. Annabeth nodded yes happily. "You do?" Malcolm asked walking closer to his little sister.

"Yup." The seven year old told her brother while rocking back and forth on the balls of her feet. Malcolm lunged at his sister picking her up and tossing her over his shoulder while running around in circles.

"Okay, kids." Athena said trying to hide her laughter as she watched her only daughter shriek as her brother hung her on his shoulder. "We have to leave, your father needs to get some sleep he has a long twelves months ahead of him." Her voice crack at the end of her sentence. Annabeth grabbed onto her father's legs and trying to hold back her tears mumbles a small goodbye.

"Later dad." Malcolm told his father while quickly hugging him then looking around to make sure no one had seen.

"You better do a better job of make sure no one's looking because I saw that hug Mal." Frederick's bandmate Poseidon joked winking at the young boy. "Great show tonight Rick the tours going to be the best one we've had yet."

"I don't know man I feel like we're getting too old for this." Frederick sighed.

"Speak for yourself old man I'm still young."

"So Poseiden, how is Sally?" Athena asked with a dark eyebrow raised.

"Still desperately in love with me thank you very much." He retorted, Athena was sure if there weren't fans and VIP ticket holders wandering around he would have stuck his tongue out.

Sally Jackson chose that moment to walk up to them. Hearing everything that her long term boyfriend, now husband had made. "I wouldn't say desperately." She says challenging Poseidon. But walked up to Athena giving her a tight hug. The two had known eachother for years. Sally had traveled a lot with her parents while growing up and one summer when she had been staying in South Africa she ran into the rookie model.

"How's Percy?" Annabeth inquiries Sally asking about one of her friends. Although these two have only been married a year they had been dating since Sally was sixteen and had a boy eight years ago who they named Perseus or Percy for short. The young boy had his mother's imagination and kindness but got his looks and love for music from his father.

"He's good Annabeth, he's looking forward to going to the beach with you and your mom next week." Sally tells the little girl with a smile.

"Go along kids I'll meet you at by the car.." Athena calls shooing her kids towards the way of the parking garage. The two children began to head down the hallway were their mother's Camaro was being watched by security. Frederick plopped down on the couch in the band room, he put his head in his hands.

"I don't know how much longer I can do this." He told his wife and best friends.

"Sweetheart you're only thirty years old-"

"I don't know thirty is pretty old." Poseidon interjects.

"You're not helping Poseidon and besides you're thirty it's not like you're eighty-three."

"Are you saying eighty-three year olds can't get down because let me tell yo-"

"Poseidon shut the fuck up." Athena yells grabbing a pillow off the couch and throwing it at the band's guitarist.

"Well it looks like we aren't wanted, want to go have sex?" He asks his wife raising a dark eyebrow and wrapping his arm around her waist.

"Go have sex with a groupie I'm getting pizza." Sally says pushing her husband away and heading out the door.

Poseidon follows her out the door mumbling "Screw having sex pizza is better." under his breath.

"Honey," Athena says sitting down next to him, now that they were alone. "after the world tour you can rest up for the remaining 3 months before you have to head back to the studio." She tells her husband rubbing soothing circle on his back.

"Not the tour, I don't know how long I can keep doing this up." He says waving his hands around in the air to prove his point. His wife lifts an eyebrow. "I don't know how longer I can keep leaving you and the kids for so long. I'm missing their childhood. I missed Annabeth's first steps and Malcolm's little league baseball games. I don't, no I can't keep missing important milestones in their life." He says tears starting to fill his eyes. His wife took his hand in hers and looked him in the eye.

"Then let's go home."

Frederick stood up from the couch and started passing, "But they know where we live if I give this up I want to give it all up I want our kids to grow up like normal kids. I don't want Malcolm to worry about going on a date and having the paparazzi on his tale!"

Athena tilted her head "What about when Annabeth is old enough to date." She asks a small smile on her lips.

"No, no, no, no, no! Annabeth will not be dating until she's married!" Athena laughed, "I'm not going to let them live a life of a celebrity just because I can't stay home." He finished standing in front of his wife.

"Then let's go buy a house and live there, will be the biggest story of the year." She said standing up with a grin.

"I like it. Should we tell the kids?"

Athena though for a breath second. "Yes, we should also tell your producers and record label and your band and also everyone that has to do with any of this."

Frederick nodded his head but then stopped. "I'm not going to let them lose their job because of me. But what if Poseidon took over!" Athena looked down.

"I don't know Frederick, and I mean just giving all this to him." Frederick took his wife's head in his hands and looked her in the eye.

"I know you don't like him," Athena snorted, and he smiled quickly kissing her cheek, "but that doesn't mean that he isn't a good guy. I mean he's my best friend and he's the only one that I trust with all of this." He finished.

"Ok, if that's what you want then go ahead but I still don't trust him. Or his little brat of a son." She said narrowing her eyes.

"You mean Perseus, he's not that bad." He said as they started to make their way to the Camaro.

"I still don't approve of his friendship with Annabeth." She commented as Frederick took her hand in his and lacing their fingers together.

"Yes, but in all fairness Annabeth can take care of herself. She did punch him when he said he didn't like her dress." He reminded her with a smile as he opened the door to the passenger side.

Athena laughed, "I almost forgot about that."

Fredric chuckled, "She just like her mother." He said while getting into the driver's seat.

"Who's just like their mother?" Malcolm asked from the back seat.

"Daddy what are you doing here?" Annabeth asked tilting her head to the side just like Athena does when she thinks.

"Well guys I'm not going on tour, and we're also going to move." He said trailing off not knowing exactly how to tell his kids.

"Now when you say 'not going on tour' does that mean for tonight or like ever?" Malcolm asked silently hopping that his father wouldn't have to leave again.

"I'm not going on tour ever and we're moving back to Nashville." He posed waiting for his kid's reaction.

"Were going back to Nashville?" Malcolm asked excitedly. Frederick looked at his wife, "Yes Mal." The kids were silent for a second then they started to smile.

"Daddy is going to stay!" Annabeth laughed happily.

"Yes, daddy is going to stay." Fredrick says with a smile on his face as he pulls out of the parking spot.

It was five years later when the Chases began to make waves in the media once again but this time it wasn't because of a photoshoot Athena had been a part of or a new son Frederick released, no this time it was because one of the world's favorite couple was killed in a car crash after Frederick had a meeting with Poseidon and Zeus trying to start their own record company. The world was devastated at the lost and thousands came from around the country to the dedication service. But no one felt the loss of the two adults harder than their two children. Malcolm, who earlier that fall had decided to enlist in the army continued with it losing himself in his training. But their now twelve year old daughter seemed to lose herself all together, she closed herself off from the world and friends all except the young Percy Jackson who tried his best to support his best friend through the hard time. But even the purest things end and somehow the two fell apart and the Jacksons returned to L.A. where Poseidon continued to make music and soon his son followed in his footsteps releasing an E.P. early the next year. The fallout was never brought up in conversation it seems not even the dirtiest of magazines wanted to believe the two kids grew apart but soon the hope of the two rekindling their relationship died and Annabeth's name left the papers as Percy's became more and more frequent. Their path no longer led beside the other's they had crossed and it seemed would never cross again.

Well let me know what you think.
