I fussed with Cammie's floral dress as we sat at the table in the restaurant. Just yesterday, I found out that I had a marriage that had been planned since my birth, and my parents never told me. I was trying to remain as calm as possible, for Cammie only. I was very close to blowing up at my parents.
I saw my parents smile over my head so I held my hand out to Cammie and pulled her to stand with me. When I looked up I saw Dr. Cullen and his wife. I momentarily panicked, but they had two sons, surely it wouldn't be the one I had a past with.
Then, the devil himself walked up. I glanced at my parents, who smiled, oblivious to the turmoil I was in.
"Bella please say hello to your future husband and in-laws." Mom said happily.
I said, "Hello" to Dr. Cullen and Esme and waited for them to introduce us, maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me.
"Bella this is our son, Edward. You probably don't know him, he's a few years older than him." Esme introduced us.
"Did you put them up to this?" I asked Edward.
He smirked and shook his head. Then I turned to my parents. "I can't believe you would stoop this low." I said as I glanced down at Cammie. "I will not be marrying this bastard." I said harshly. Everyone looked at me shocked. Cammie pulled on my skirt and I looked down at her.
"Mommy you said not to say that." she said. I forced a smile at her.
I bent down and picked her up and settled her on my hip. "Bella if you don't marry him..." Dad trailed off.
"Don't worry. I'll be out of state before the night is over and you will never set eyes on me again." I said, I started to walk away, but a hand wrapped around my wrist.
I saw Dr. Cullen holding my wrist. "What's wrong?" he asked.
"I'm sorry your son is the spawn of satan. He didn't tell you we dated in high school. Twice. And that this angel on my hip is his?" I asked him before walking away, never to see them again.
Three Years Later
I walked through the park. One hand resting on my pregnant stomach and the other on my back as I watched the girls play. So much had happened these last few months.
I lost my best friends and my husband all at the same time, in the same horrible car wreck. I now have custody of Ben and Angela's daughter Gracen, as well as my daughter, Camden, and my soon-to-be-born son, to be named Jacob after my late husband, we only had two short years together.
They spotted me, before I spotted them, but as soon as I did, I wanted to grab my children and run. The Cullen's, their children with their spouses, aside from Edward's spouse, and my parents were making their way towards me.
"Camden! Gracen! Time to go." I shouted, silently screaming at the to hurry. Now more than ever am I glad that I still wear my wedding ring. The girls came running to me, but it was too late. The group was standing in front of us.
I bent down slightly and pulled out a few dollar bils and handed them to Camden. "Cam why don't you and Gracen go get some cotton candy from the snack counter."
"Thanks Mommy." the girls squealed before running over to the counter where my friend, Mrs. Paluto, was serving a bunch of screaming children and their parents.
We stood in silence for a minute, before Edward called me a whore.
"Mature Edward" I laughed and flashed the wedding band on my left hand.
"Whose children are those?" Dad asked pointing to Gracen and my stomach.
"This one is my husbands and mine and that one is my dead best friends daughter." I said before walking away. I had nothing left to say to them if they were going to accuse.
The girls both smiled sugary smiles at me as I joined them by the counter.
"Come on girls. Let's go home." I smiled at them and we walked downt the crowded New York streets.
