This was a quick little story about how Danny felt when his baby sister, Tori, was born. I don't own Maddie, Jack, Jazz or Danny. They all belong to Butch Hartman. But Tori belongs to me, and me only. Do not steal her please.
Jealous Little Boy
It had only been at least three days since Maddie and Jack Fenton had brought home the new addition to the family. Two year old Daniel Fenton remembered seeing a tiny, red face with wild brown hair and purple eyes. He remembered that much. He also remembered that his mommy's tummy had gotten big, so he couldn't sit down on her lap. He had been sad that he couldn't, but when she had said that a baby was there, he had been happy. Now, he just wasn't sure if he should be happy now. Ever since the baby had come home, hardly anybody noticed Danny anymore. His playroom had been painted pink and a crib and changing table now occupied it. When he was playing out in the living room, his mommy had said that he had to be quiet. Why? Because the baby was sleeping, that's why. He even went to Jazz, his older sister, and asked her to play with him, but she was more interested in her new baby sister. Danny was crushed at that. This baby was taking his attention away, and he didn't like it. Whenever the baby cried, Maddie and Jack would drop what they were doing and run to see what was wrong. Danny once went into the baby's new room, and he could see his mother rocking her to sleep, singing so quietly and soothingly. That voice was usually reserved for Danny when he couldn't sleep at night. Now, it belonged to the baby. Danny had sadly went into his room to play with his toy rocket ship alone. And one morning, his daddy was supposed to eat cereal with him, but he was too busy feeding the baby a bottle of her mother's milk that she stored in the fridge whenever she had to run some errands. Danny sadly sat at the table, both his and his daddy's cereal getting soggy and uneaten. A single tear ran down little Danny's chubby cheek, and he quickly wiped it away. He silently left his booster seat and sat down in the living room, once again alone. Why did mommy and daddy have to have a baby? What about Danny? A few hours later, she was crying in her crib about something. Danny had wandered in the room to see what she could possibly want to take now, and he realized that her pacifier had landed on the carpet outside of her crib. Danny picked it up, wiped it on his shirt, and reached through the bars of her crib and stuck it into her mouth. She instantly stopped crying, and she looked over at him. What had happened next surprised Danny. She smiled at him, as if grateful for what he had done for her. Danny smiled back as his mommy and daddy came running into the room. They too had noticed that she was quiet. His mommy bent down to his level, and asked him if he had helped her feel better. Danny pointed at the pacifier, then the floor. Maddie realized that he had retrieved her pacifier for her. She gave him a hug, and then told him that he was a very good brother to make Tori stop crying. Tori was her name, huh? Well, Danny guessed that he could deal with her. After all, there was so much to teach her…
