Fire
Fire is passion. Fire is heat and romance. Fire is power. Fire is destruction.
Passion burns like fire during even the coldest of nights in the most desolate of places. No amount of love can change time or truth. Aladdin is the prince of the people but he has no head for politics, no true understanding of leadership. Not even Jasmine, with her fierce love of freedom and sense of rebelliousness, can aid him. What hard decisions can be made when you possess the love of the people for your merciful repute?
Politics has no place for princesses or beggars.
What is left for the people's prince when the people whisper in hushed, disappointed voices of his decisions? There can be no progress without sacrifice. To give one must take but you cannot take from only the rich. You cannot constantly condemn those who worked to become something more or to become something in their own right.
Fire is the heat of fury. It is the harshest words that strike the deepest wounds. It is a twisted, cruel strength. It is utter domination and a wretched source of satisfaction. The wounds from these verbal attacks are nothing new to him. To her, they are senseless but quite necessary to make a leader of him. The only truth of this fiery fury that they both can agree upon is that it burns more often than before.
Their wounds only worsen in the scorching heat of otherwise unforgivable exchanges.
Fire is all that keeps Agrabah prosperous. There can be no leader if there is no enthusiasm. Aladdin's passion for easing the people's plight is all that he has to his name. It is the light which heats and warms and gives hope by holding the darkness at bay. It is the greatest strength he possesses and the one truth binding him and Jasmine together.
Fire is hope and love and passion. Fire is destruction when there are only more flames. Fire is its own nemesis, burning until there is no more to burn. Fire consumes all that it can and believes that it has rights to all. Fire is recklessness without pause for thought, without cause.
Fire is an inescapable end that offers no hope of salvation.
Author's Note: Wow, this is not meant to be anything politicial. I don't know where that first part came from. I just wanted to highlight how the differences of their rank in society and upbringing were and how that would adversely affect their relationship. This just came from nowhere... I've got no words for the beginning. I do, however, have words for the second part: 'I'm sorry'. I can tell that the second part isn't as good but I did that on a separate occasion so I apologise profusely for that. Thank you for reading, my dear readers. I sincerely hope that you enjoyed this as I vastly adored this version. I apologise if you are unsatisfied.
