"There's no way to stop them Jack?" Daniel Jackson frowned as he looked at O'Neill.
Jack understood what Daniel was thinking about. SG:1 had never failed like this. After all, we've stopped so many enemies. The Go'uald, the Ori, that guy with the giant rabbits…
Okay, granted, that last hadn't been very difficult.
"What do you want me to say?" O'Neill replied in an angry yet defeated voice. "We weren't prepared for them. The Colonials took the time to learn about us, pick out or weakness and now…now it's time to bring us back into the religious fold." There were only the two of them in Jack's house. Even Teal'c had left, in order to prepare the Jaffa Nation for what was about to be unleashed on them.
Hopefully, with forewarning, they'd do better than earth had.
"Their ships are in orbit?" Daniel asked.
"Yeah, got it from the State Department five minutes ago. Their forces should be here-"
There was a knock on the door. A knock that was more foreboding than anything the Stargate had ever done. O'Neill felt a pounding headache start up as he walked to the door. He'd trained for anything but this, and the fact that SG:1 had failed the people of earth so completely…
He opened the door. There in the driveway was the State Department car with a depressed looking driver standing by it. O'Neill understood why. Having to ferry the invading force back and forth had to be wearing. He hoped the man had ear plugs.
But then his trained senses focused on the two invaders standing at his door.
Who looked about 18, if he was being generous, wearing floral pattern dresses, and wearing badges, each one reading: CAPRICA YOUNG MISSIONARIES ASSOCIATION.
From the writing, he was talking to Staci and Marcy.
"Hello!" Staci said, her chipper tone redoubling O'Neill's headache. "I'm here to talk to you about the Lords of Kobol and the place they have for you! Can I come in? I have some pamphlets…"
"We also brought cookies!" Marcy, an equally chipper brunette said. "Hearing the good news is always better with cookies, that's why I make them myself!"
"I bet you do…" O'Neill said in a defeated voice. "Come on in…"
The ever loving end.
Afterword:
I am terribly late on all my other projects because of real life, so here's something quickly dashed off to let everyone know I'm not dead.
