Woo! Okay this is probably my third round into the NCIS obsession stage. And finally I forced myself to write something instead of just playing videos in my head. This just kind of came up one day. I tried to keep it as realistic as possible and lay off the instant Gabby romance - as much as I want it to happen :D As of now it's a one shot, depending on how it all goes that is subject to change. If I even could think of a plot to follow. But enough with my ranting.
Disclaimer:I don't own NCIS. This is called FANfiction for a reason.
Ding!
Gibbs looked up from his coffee in one hand, caf-pow in the other as the elevator doors opened. He marched out into Abby's lab.
"Gibbs! Gibbs! Gibbs! Gibbs! Gibbs! Gibbs! Gibbs!" Abby called in excitement. Gibbs grinned slightly as she jumped up from her computer. She ran past the sliding doors, stopping in front of him. She took the caf-pow from his left hand and took a big, long slurp in pure happiness. "What've you got for me, Abbs?" Her smile grew. "Good news. I just got an chain letter. If I send it to twenty people, my love life will be totally successful!"
Gibbs smirked at her enthusiasm. "And did you?"
Abby grinned again. "I sent it to forty, just in case." Gibbs let out a small laugh. "Good luck with that, Abbs."
Abby took another slurp of her fruity caffeine-infused drink. "You think I need luck with my love life, Gibbs?" Her eyes widened after the words left her mouth and she raised a hand. "Don't answer that."
Gibbs walked over to her computer. "You got anything involving the case, Abby?"
She followed after him, setting the Caf-Pow down. After typing in a few words a fingerprint popped up. "This is the fingerprint we found on the tape, and this is the fingerprint we found in the car - they match. But," she started and pulled up another fingerprint. "This is the fingerprint on the gun. This fingerprint belongs to Matthew Samuelson. Thing is, he died a year ago. It was ruled as accidental death - drowning, but his body was never found."
"And his fingerprint, " Gibbed started.
"Is the same one found on the weapon that killed Petty Officer Lucas. I think we're looking at another death-faker, Gibbs." Abby stared at the 10 point fingerprint match with indifference. She turned to him to see his expression. Not to her surprise, it was blank aside from the slight smile. He looked back at her. "Thanks, Abby," he said as he walked closer to her. She smiled and turned her cheek to him.
He put his hand under her chin, gently forcing her to look forward at him and pressed his lips lightly against hers. His tongue danced across her lips and after lingering much longer than he had planned, he pulled away. "Good luck with your love life, Abbs," he said and walked back to the elevator.
Abby stood in the middle of her lab grinning madly. She turned to look at Bert, biting her lip trying to conceal the smile. She bent down to look the hippo in the eye saying, "I love chain letters."
Yeah. I don't know. I'm finding that I'm more of a filmer person I can see it all in my head but I'm not really the greatest at getting it in words. But I wanted to get that out of my system. Hopefully you all enjoyed. Reviews make me extremely happy so take two seconds to tell me if you liked it, what I can do to improve, etc. Refrain from flames, but if you really hate it that much I guess it's best for me to know that.
