All character belong to the BBC, not me. Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I just got a laptop so hopefully I will get better at this. Hope you enjoy the story.

I just couldn't get the thought out of my mind that the drinking hat could only be thought up by someone like the Doctor.

The Doctor and River had just come back from a particularly messy fight with the biggest slugs the universe had ever seen and it was safe to say that it hadn't gone all that well. They had won the fight and escaped, thanks to River, but the Doctor had gotten slimed in the process. He was covered with thick mucus colored gloop from head to toe and River wasn't going anywhere near him until after a shower. Which is how he ended up running to the console room in nothing but a flimsy towel and slick water dripping off of him.

"RIVER! I just had the most brilliant idea ever!" He came in shouting with a huge grin spread across his face.

"And what would that be sweetie?" River was fairly certain that it wasn't going to be anything earth shattering but he was her husband so she decided to humor him. Well, that and she wanted to see just how long he would stand there in nothing but a towel or see how long it would take to talk him out of it.

"A hat! But not just any hat, one that has cup holders on the sides with straws! Think about it! A hat and fizzy straws, nothing could be better."

"Only you would think up something like that sweetie."

"Well, all of my best thoughts come to me in the shower. Must be something in the water. Maybe the TARDIS put some super-duper-thought juice into it."

"Really sweetie? You think about hats in the shower?" River asked him innocently even though she had some very wicked thoughts running through her head.

"Well what else are you supposed to think about?" Oh poor, naive Doctor. Really, this far in his timeline, he should have seen it coming.

"Oh i can think of many other things to think about and do while wet sweetie. But why tell you when showing is just so much better." And there went the act of innocence. Now the real River wanted to play, and with her Doctor. But even though he knew more about their relationship than she did, his face still turned red and one arm flailed a bit while the other held tightly to his towel.

"Um...I don't suppose we would need a rubber ducky then."

River threw her head back and laughed. Maybe the day had started bad with giant slime monsters but now it was certainly starting to look up.
