Ciel's POV

It's been a rather boring day. The only excitement was the servants trying to catch a mouse earlier, that was pretty funny to watch. Now it was getting dark out and a storm had come in. The rain came down in bullets, a loud clap of thunder announced the arrival of my demon butler, Sebastian Michaelis. "My Lord," Sebastian said, grabbing my attention. "A body was found about half-a mile from here."

"Oh?" i asked. "Might I ask who it was?"

"I'm not sure, sir. It was badly damaged by animals . . ." Sebastian said. "What am certain of is that it was a nobleman's daughter . . . "

"Damn . ." i swore under my breath. "Find out who she was . . . and have the proper family notified."

"Yes, My Lord." Sebastian said with a bow. All of a sudden, he tensed and stood straight.

"What is it?" i asked.

"No . . no it can't be. . ." Sebastian muttered underneath his breath "Excuse me, my Lord." He then left in a hurry. Curious, I followed him out of my study and into the main hall. He opened the front door and tensed even more. I couldn't see what he was looking at. He picked up the object from the front door. A pair of muddy, pale feet suggesting it was a person he was carrying. He ran into another room, where we kept medical supplies. A trail of mud, water, and dark crimson blood followed him, so the person must be gravely injured. After a while of dashing about, he brought the person to a guest bedroom. I, of course followed him, completely confused about what was going on. I got into the bedroom just in time to see Sebastian lay the injured person on the bed. That's when finally got a good look at them.

It was a girl the same age as me, maybe a year younger. Her face was very pale, either naturally or from blood-loss I couldn't tell. Raven-black bangs covered her forehead, the rest flowing down to her waist. She seemed familiar, but I couldn't recall why . . . . . That's when it hit me. The girl from that night . . .the night I formed a contract with Sebastian . . .

"Sebastian, see she has perfect care." I ordered.

"Yes, My Lord." Sebastian said bowing to me. I left the room and went into my chambers.

This will be very interesting . . . .

The next morning, the girl still hadn't woken up. Sebastian said it's probably due to the amount of blood she lost the previous night and should wake up with a day or so. But her unconscious state distracted me from concentrating on my work. Who is she? What attacked her? Does she have a connection to the other girl? She's definitely a nobleman's daughter, going by the clothes she was wearing when she arrived . . . is there some sort of serial killer going after them? Theses questions and many more buzzed around in my head. I wanted to know who she is and I wanted to know now.

"Sebastian, find out who this girl is." I ordered.

"I already know, sir." Sebastian replied. I looked at my demon butler with a bit of shock.

"You knew . . why didn't you say anything?" I half-asked, half-demanded.

"I assumed our guest would like to tell you herself . . ." Sebastian replied in a calm voice. I scowled at him and turned to look out the window.

"Fine, lets hope she wakes up soon then."

It was that very evening our new guest awoke with a scream. Sebastian rushed into the guest bedroom, with me and the other servants following behind him. The girl was sitting straight up, breathing heavily. Her eyes, emerald-green in color, were wild with fright. She clutched her sides, as if some invisible force was trying to grab her. Sebastian went over to her and sat next to her.

"It's alright . . you're safe now . ." he said in a calming voice. She looked up and studied Sebastian's face, as if she had known him but can't quite remember him. I went over to them and stood next to the girl.

"Mind telling us your name?" I asked. The girl turned to look at me.

"It's Melody . . . It's good to see you again, Ciel."
