The man and his son sat in the doctor's waiting room, waiting to be called in for a routine check up. The son had a head of warm comforting black, he'd gotten that from his father. He looked around with wide delicate eyes, while his father poked through a magazine. The boy pulled on his father's sleeve, grabbing his attention.
"What is it son?"
His son scratched his head, unsure of how to phrase this.
"Daddy, in school yesterday some kids were talking. They said that Char is gunna freeze the Earth!"
The father looked down at his son and gently stroked his hair, calming him with a comforting hand.
"It'll be alright. The Federation will make sure he doesn't."
The son snuggled up to his dad, feeling a little better at the situation at hand. A nurse, or maybe an aid walked into the room, clutching a chart.
"Izuruha, Bernard!"
The father stood up and grasped his son's hand.
"That's us son."
The son hopped off the chair, holding his daddy's hand in an iron grip, and they together walked along with the aid to finally see the doctor.
