ok, this is pretty short for a first chapter, but it's the intro anyway... so yeah, i'll update soon hope ya like it

A small silver Honda Civic sped down an off ramp, and inside there was one person. She didn't look like she would be a criminal, and she wasn't. Not just yet. The girl in the drivers seat was named Natalia Morishita and she was the daughter of one of the most well known lawyers in the area. Her hair was a dark brown that looked back and it fell in smal waves past her shoulders.

The girls picture popped up on my computer screen and with that tiny picture my lips twisted upward in a small smile. In the red light camera photo that was taken she had a determined look plastered on her face and her features were sharp and possibly even angry. The clothes she wore were plain and something like a school uniform. She wore a red polo shirt with a white stripe down the right side and a black pleaded skirt. This, in fact, was a mistake. All because the polo had an emblem on it.

I double clicked on the emblem and the picture zoomed in, with a few more clicks of the mouse I had a clear picture of the emblem. Step one complete, step two: inform Near that we have a possible suspect. And although our headquarters was in the District of Colombia, in the nations Capitol it would be no problem to get a flight to Seattle, Washington where Natalia lived. After many minutes of studying the image I wrote down all the details on a page of my sketchbook. All around those words were small doodles of the sentence I wrote beside it for Near to understand better. Yes, I am aware Near is a smart man, but he told me himself pictures explain better than words.

After I finished with the doodles I headed toward the common center of the building and pushed open the huge mahogany doors. In front of the many computer screens sat Nate River, L's successor. And as always he wore his baggy and overly large pajama looking outfit that clashed with his bleach white hair. "Uhm, excuse me Near. But we have our suspect," I say quietly as I toss the notebook on the table beside him.

Near studies the words and sketches for a minute or so then turns his bleak gaze to me. "Find her."
