Chapter One

I walked downstairs to the smell of breakfast cooking. I looked over Cas' shoulder to see that he was cooking pancakes and bacon. "My favorite," I said as I kissed him on the nose and went to collect the paper. "Well you seem like you're feeling better. Sammy's death isn't bothering you anymore?" asked Cas in his sweet, yet mysterious voice. "Sammy is not who's on my mind right now, darling." I said, looking Cas right in the eyes. He cleared his throat, "Dean! breakfast is rea-," Splat! "Dammit! I'm sorry, Dean. I'll make more." "Don't worry, Cas." I say as I bend down to help scoop up the fallen pancakes. "I love you," I said "But, I have to get ready. I won't be long," I kissed him and went to get dressed for the funeral. "And may his soul be in Heaven, where it belongs," said the preacher. "Yeah, right," I muttered under my breath. I leaned on Cas' shoulder and a tear began to roll down my cheek. "Sweetie," Cas said "Don't cry. I'm here. I'll hold you," and he kissed my tear away. "Would anyone like to say anything about the deceased?" Cas looked at me out of the corner of his eye, and when he recognized I wasn't going to say anything he spoke up. "I would," he said. "Please do." Cas stepped to the front of the room and stared right at me through his entire speech "Sam, he was like a.. a.. little brother to me. He cared for me during my lowest times as I did for him. He was a fantastic person and he helped the most important person in the world...Dean." Tears were streaming down my face now and Cas stepped down and sat next to me to comfort me. I managed to get "Thank you," out between sobs. "You're welcome. I love you." he kissed my forehead and said he'd hold me forever.

Chapter Two

After I got myself together Cas called us a taxi, but I refused. I wanted to walk with him and feel his hand in my hand. We decided to take the long path and walk through the park together. I love the way he was fascinated by the little things in nature and just watching him made me light up. "Dean, a bird!" I'd hear every few minutes. I looked over and saw a woodpecker pecking at a tree. "De-!" Cas yelled. I swiftly turned my head over in his direction and saw him laying on the ground with an angel blade in his chest. "Cas!" I dropped to the ground and held his body in my arms. "Cas.." a tear began to roll down my cheek as I felt him take his final breath and then fall limp in my arms. "No.."
