Bombs – When Dirk and Jake kissed, it was not as if there were butterflies in his stomach. Jake felt something much more powerful, like fireworks. However, then he thought that the description was too light. Finally, he described the feeling in the only words he knew; like a billion bombs going off in his chest.
Regrets – It was obvious; their relationship was not working out. Jake knew that it would end, but he didn't want it to end the way it did. The being controlling him made things so much more worse, but Jake still knew how it would've gone. That didn't stop the pain when Dirk said the words, however. That only left Jake with more regrets onto his list of them.
Video Games – Despite Jake's initial indifference to video games, he found himself playing more and more. However, as his gaming hours increased, Jake learned that most of the games he played was mediocre. What he also realized is that it was worth it, because he talked with Dirk more and more.
Circular – Despite his outgoing demeanor, Jake was paranoid of things. He was paranoid of people hating him, of him dying, and there was always something. However, with every time Dirk kissed him and wrapped his arms around his waist, Jake knew the relationship was circular, meaning that he had nothing to worry about.
Worth – It was bound to happen eventually. Jake and Dirk stood on the sidewalk when it did. Dirk's sunglasses had fallen off onto the street, and then they were run over by a car. It may have seemed trivial to be upset about, but those sunglasses meant something to Dirk. Jake realized this, and bought Dirk a new pair the next day. The look of pure joy on Dirk's face made Jake think it was worth every dollar.
