It was a day like any other. I woke, I had breakfast, I brushed the teeth. I was sitting at my shrine, preparing to do my daily elephant worship, when suddenly the door flew open. A man in an orange spacesuit rushed in, slamming the door behind him and scrambling to find a lock. He turned the lock and the four deadbolts before pulling a large bookcase down to block the entrance. He turned around. I couldn't see much of his face, but it was obvious that he was exhausted, and terrified. The man slumped down onto the floor.
"He… He's coming…" The man spoke between breaths, and his voice was faint. I moved closer to him.
"Who's coming?" I asked. He grabbed my shirt with a shockingly firm grip, pulling me down closer to the visor.
"He's… coming… to town…" I was about to ask more but before I could there was a crunching sound. I turned to my right to see a rectangular section of my wall rise, like a garage door, crumbling to dust as it reached some magical point higher up. As it rose, it revealed a figure. The entity stepped through its new gateway.
"Behold. Nothing can impede Chrimbo." The thing looked like a man, dressed in red and white, with a large white beard. I stared in awe of him.
"I am Chrimbo."
He was Chrimbo.
Chrimbo moved swiftly. He waddled with great speed from the opening to me, lifting the man in the orange spacesuit with one hand. He weakly protested, but was ultimately powerless against Chrimbo's might.
"A good Chrimbo to you friend." Chrimbo spoke to me and I felt humbled. I stammered a few times as Chrimbo wobbled towards the hole in the wall. I followed after him, and saw a catapult just outside. Chrimbo lobbed the spaceman into the arm of the catapult, before climbing in himself. He turned towards me.
"Behold the majesty of Chrimbo." And I did. He pulled a lever, and the catapult shot the pair off into the horizon. I stared out.
"God speed, Chrimbo." I turned back to my shrine - there was redecorating to do.
