by Twisted Eternal Wolvetta

Her beloved homeland was so far away. Once known as the blue planet, Earth had been her mortal life. It was all but a fragmented dream, the notion a lifetime away. Yet even so, Mikoto yearned for those memories to return.

What would today's humans make of Earth? None of them knew of their species homeworld. Or their homeworld. She was different from them; an exception.

Mikoto had experienced the same sensation over, and over again. She had watched the Black Valley crumble, and reincarnate a dozen times. With such a feat, the same ending always occurred. It was in parallel to Earth. She might've seen a hundred planets, yet in the end, it was always the same outcome.

She was the Crystal HiME of the Earth. Or the Cat Goddess, as the humans had dubbed her. But why didn't she feel nothing but remorse, and the urge to sleep? She wasn't human, but neither was she HiME.

Not anymore.

"Long ago, it was said otome had spoken with dragons."

Once, the HiME had summoned dragons. For such myth, and legend, this was all they were remembered for. The original otome- the saviours of a long, and forgotten Earth.

"Dragons reigned over the otome, and guided them."

The memories of the festivals were drilled within Mikoto's mind. Yet all she did, was watch. Time, and time again, the friends she rediscovered died all around her.

Neither did they remember her, nor did they know themselves. Perhaps the faintest flicker of their past haunted them. But above all else…

… Was an eternity.

She had watched Mai on that day. Mikoto had witnessed the forging of Earl. With the HiME's sacrifice to collide with the HiME Star in space, a spark had struck. But in reality, they had never reincarnated by Mashiro's hand. With that kindled destruction, had come Valhalla.

A lie.

The gateways of Earl were all but a lie of fragmented dreams. Earl was the HiME's memories. They were sacred, but forgotten. In such a twisted spare of the moment, their lives had merged. But it was only Mikoto who had lived on.

She was the Crystal HiME, the administer.

Over the Red Yonder

"I am the Goddess of Cats. The Crystal HIME of the Earth. But neither am I human, or a god."
