Hermione Granger was bored. This was new for her, as usually she had some sort of knowledge-y past time to partake in. But she'd finished all their assignments and read all her books. She was by no means against re-reading books, but nothing particularly caught her fancy. She looked up as Harry and Ron plopped down on the sofa next to her.

"What're you doin' inside? The weather's great out!" Ron asked.

"I don't want to-" Hermione started.

"Just come outside, alright? You can read under a tree or something. It's too nice to stay inside," Harry suggested.

"You better be outside in ten minutes," said Ron. "By the way," he said, "Happy Birthday," hugging her before running out after Harry.

Hermione decided that she might as well join them. When she idly put her hand on the sofa arm to pull herself up, she almost knocked something over. Looking at it, she saw a stack of books tied with ribbon and a note saying 'Happy Birthday 'Mione'.
