A/N: This takes place when Cera was very young; about the age of five. This story focuses mainly on Cera and Topsy.

It was storming out one night in the Great Valley. Everyone was asleep except for Cera. She was shaking violently as a flash of light was seen in the sky and the loud noise from the thunder. The sky water was pouring down hard so it was hard to see Cera's tears pouring down her face. Moments later, she let out a scream because of a thunder boomer. It was so loud that it jerked Topsy out of his sound sleep. He was curious about why Cera was crying and rushed over to her.

"Cera, what's wrong?" Topsy wondered.

The small threehorn was still shaking in fear.

"The...storm...it scares...me," Cera managed to say.

Another thunder boomer made Cera scream in fear. Topsy walked closer and laid down. Then, he took her in his paws and tried to comfort her. Cera had her face buried in his foreleg while continuing to cry. He nuzzled her back with his chin; she was inconsolable because of her fear of storms.

"It's all right, Cera; I was scared of storms when I was your age; even though I was taught that threehorns weren't scared of anything and I passed on those teachings onto you and your siblings; but, I was wrong," Topsy explained.

Cera didn't respond; all she could do was cry.

Topsy did the best he could to comfort his frightened daughter. It hurt him to see her like this.

"The storm will pass soon; and it won't hurt you," Topsy said, using a soft tone of voice.

Cera managed to stop crying and looked up at her dad.

"Thanks, Dad; I feel a bit better; but, I'm still scared," Cera admitted.

Topsy nodded.

"Being scared during a storm is nothing to be ashamed of," Topsy reminded her.

Cera smiled and nuzzled her dad's foreleg. Soon enough, both of them fell asleep together.
