Lance yawned as their Professor continued talking about the different constellations in the sky. He already knew the man was droning on about; he and Hunk used to stargaze as children together and their parents had gifted them with books on the stars.
'Why can't something interesting happen?' Lance questioned as he yawned, eyes closing. He was bored, and a bored Lance was a Lance that made bad decisions in the name of interesting.
Lance grinned as a thought entered his mind and he straightened in his seat. There was a large boy that sat directly in the front of the class. Kadin Smith. Last week he had broken Pidge's glasses and then proceeded to make Hunk cry. Lance had been trying to figure out what he could do to make Kadin pay for it. While the Professor continued to talk about stuff Lance already knew, Lance could work on his payback plan.
Boredom solved!
Lance had just started making a list of possible things on his paper when pain shot through his head. It was blinding and Lance couldn't stop the whine that left his mouth as he fell out of his chair, clutching at his head. His breath came in pants as a ringing grew louder and louder in his ears, blocking out the cries of concern from his classmates.
'LEAVE ME ALONE.'
A spasm went through his body and Lance cried out as he curled in on himself. It hurt; why did it hurt?! Where was the voice even coming from?!
'JUST LET ME DIE.'
"No!" Lance gasped out the word. His fingers hooked themselves and he scratched at this scalp. Hands grasped at his limbs and clothing and Lance struggled to kick them off. "No, stop!"
'ENOUGH ALREADY.'
Darkness clawed at the edges of Lance's vision and he welcomed it with open arms.
