If only he knew
Summary:- Owen is about to die and is ranting to Tosh how it isn't fair. Tosh has been shot and is dying too but he doesn't know – if only he did.
Disclaimer: - I don't own Torchwood!
A/N: - I'm sorry if I offend anyone with this but I vaguely put in some of my views of life-after death – I don't mean to offend you.

'This isn't fair!! It's not supposed to be like this……' Tosh listened as Owen ranted and raved in her ear. Her body shook as a new wave of pain claimed her body. She took a moment to assess her wound. Two shots to the stomach – she wouldn't see the sunrise again. Silent tears fell down her cheeks as she listened to Owen rant on about himself dying. How she longed to tell him the position she was in. That they were both dying. Maybe he wouldn't scream at her.
If only he knew.
She felt another wave of pain slip through her body and she bit her lip to prevent herself from crying out. She didn't want Owen to know she was hurt. She closed her eyes and memories swam before her. They were arguing, laughing, kissing and crying. Owen made her whole, made her complete and she was losing him. His voice brought her back.
'Tosh, it's starting….' They both knew this was last time they would speak together. They both knew what was happening and they both knew this was the end. But was it the end? Tosh was sure she would die…but was their life after death? Could they be together? Did he know she loved him? If only he knew.
She lost contact with Owen and cried, silently. She heard Jack and Gwen searching through the hub for her and she tried to speak but couldn't. They found her. At last. Jack took one look at her and smiled sadly, they both knew what was behind the smile. It was the smile that said he couldn't do anything - that she was going to die. She whispered Owen's name and Jack caught it. His eyes shone with tears as he pulled her into his arms.
They were trying to talk to her but she couldn't focus on their words; so she focused on their faces. Jack's he had a smile but it never reached his eyes. He wanted to save her but they both knew he couldn't. She knew she would leave, leave him. It hurt to think that she had hated him to start with; but working with him was fun, challenging. She transferred her gaze to Ianto. His face was shining with tears too and she knew why. They were a team and they needed each other to help run Torchwood. He made her coffee and helped her when she needed something – it didn't matter what it was. More tears slipped down her cheeks. She looked at Gwen. Her best friend - her only best friend. She didn't want to leave her behind. Gwen reached down and took Tosh's hand. Tosh weakly smiled and felt her body go numb. She knew what was happening. She was leaving. She thought of her belief in life after death and smiled. She thought of Owen and slipped away. Her last thought was of Owen. How much she loved him and how much she had yearned to be with him.
If only he knew.
A/N I know it's short but I had the idea and wanted to write it down. Tell me what you thought. This was what I thought was going on in Tosh's head during her last moments. Review!
