Disclaimer: The Star Trek universe is Paramount's. It's a big place, so if you want to sue me, you'll have to catch me first.

Author's Note: Dedicated to the Voyager writing staff who - if they had brains - would have realized that the laws of physics apply even in their universe. In which case the Voyager crew would never have survived the pilot episode, let alone all the others in which the inertial dampers were offline while they changed their course or speed.

Rated: PG-13

Drabble #16 -- Right on Q

by Caffey

What would he do today? Make a star go supernova? Create a black hole? Change the gravitational constant of the universe? Pondering the literally infinite possibilities, Q's omnipotent ear picked up the words he had come to dread over the past seven years (from a human's perspective - time had no meaning for a Q).

Inertial dampers are offline, Captain!

The voice might change from time to time, but the words remained the same. Those puny bipeds would be stains on the wall if it weren't for his intervention. With a thought, he saved their butts.

Right on Q, as always. The End
